Kicked for needing an Epic BoE while group is AFK

The question isn’t even about who earned the item.

All group members are supposed to need on BOE blue/epics. The item is worth exactly the same to everyone in the group.

Also, pushing greed and then being mad when someone else gets the item?
There is no way to enforce greed rolls for everyone, why is this so difficult to understand? There is no other logical option…

Boss drops do have a random chance between the item being green or blue on lower dungeons though

I guess some just have better etiquette playing an online game with others…
I would have waited for everyone else to get there, rather than started clearing ANYTHING, even if trash mobs.

Doesn’t seem fair when you’re grouped up with others. Ungrouped and there on your own, that’s the only time I would deem it as “fair”.

I joined a pug to clear BRD arena to Emperor. I was the first one to arrive to the dungeon and I started clearing the trash alone. While I was doing that, 2 others entered the instance and decided to AFK and wait for the others to come instead of helping me. An epic BoE dropped from one the guards around the ring area, they immediately “greeded” and I simply “needed”. They were pissed and kicked me out of the group. They didn’t contribute a single hitpoint of damage and I cleared alone at least 12 mobs! If they did help I would have rolled greed because they helped but they chose not to. Who is right?

OP is in the right. If you didn’t contribute then you don’t deserve the loot. It’s like being in a raid group and boe’s drop but you demand to be able to roll from outside the instance/raid. Sorry not sorry. Next time be there or be square.

They got mad because they were being selfish, self entitled children. You did the work and they didn’t. Anyone that says different probably believes in participation trophies.

You need on boe always in a pug. If they get pissed you all can roll again. If they are slow and annoying its their own fault. If you are going to a dungeon especially brd start clearing asap. Thats fine if they want to afk. They miss out on loot. This mentality that everyone is equal and gets a trophy drives me nuts. Everyone should watch the rob zombie and joe rogan talk. They really hit home on how adversity built who they are.

Also, yeah, the people who are saying non-naive people should basically always need are correct too. And if people are upset if folks start the dungeon without them, then speak up and ask that they wait in case loot drops. If they don’t wait then decide if you want to stay in the group or not, and deal with your decision…
