I feel sorry you got hit with the homophobic slur. I’d say just remind them there is nothing wrong with being homosexual but the last time i did that (it was on another game, dead by daylight tbf) I was called the N word instead. Because in 2020 Colorado teenagers still find homosexuals and blacks as lesser people.

yeah, Ive got friends and family who are LGBT. Kinda stupid and childish in this day and age to be using that as an insult.

Most of the time I’d suspect there’s something else going on, but now and then you really do get a group with members that just have no grasp on reality and act accordingly.

this is a true statement, but none of the competent players i know then go to the forums to complain about being too good.

I have gotten kicked before because the other DPS screwed up and pulled a pack and got everyone killed but they dropped aggro so it went after me first and I got blamed.

I have never been kicked from a group to this day and plenty of times have been top dps. You sure it wasn’t something like being mouthy, pulling ahead of tank, constantly pulling agro from tank, not moving out of bad stuff, etc?

im not defending OP’s decision to dump his purse out on the forums but

ive seen people get kicked for going too fast, too slow, taking a route someone didn’t like, focusing adds, not focusing adds, having a name someone didn’t like, not getting into voicechat, asking to take a potty break and so forth. my personal fav is when someone does something stupid and blames the healer who then gets booted.

ive seen people for kicked for going too fast, too slow, taking a route someone didn’t like, focusing adds, not focusing adds, having a name someone didn’t like, not getting into voicechat, asking to take a potty break and so forth. my personal fav is when someone does something stupid and blames the healer who then gets booted.

I remember we were doing mythics and this guy accidentally aggro’d a mob and the tank immediately sent in a vote kick. We all were like “wtf lol the extra mob pull literally took us 2 seconds to kill.”

Going to guess it may have been a lack of group agreeing on what the overall “goal” was. For example: You appear to understand that being the top DPS was important to the group and as such it was your “goal” to meet that need. While to at least 3 other people in that group, the “goal” was something completely different.

Unfortunately without them being present in the conversation we can only assume that it was a large enough gap in group cohesion to have you removed from it.

I’m sorry for your experience. My suggestion is to find at least 2 others that share your goal to run with. That way most are on the same page and you will have the option to remove those of a different opinion at leisure.
