i doubt theres a skip route longer than 100 yards

How many dungeons does one need to run to become comfortable with mechanics?
That’s going to be different for everyone, but the correct answer is “a lot” lol.
And what if I didnt use my agi pot on a boss then the freaking tank didnt skip the mobs afterwards. That’s what we call… inefficient s***. Talking about the strat beforehand is part of M+ even if with PuGs. Skipping is really not part of meta strat. Everyone can beat the timer even without skipping unless we are talking about M+23 and above. This is just a regular run at M+10 to M+15.
You shouldn’t need an agility pot. That’s just a waste of gold. Ask to see the route before the key starts. You should see any potential skips, but you should probably count on a skip in HoA, PF, and SD at least. Not a bad idea to have them in Spires either. And…god forbid you body pull something, you can invis. There’s just no reason to not have them available.
I wouldn’t worry about the meta strat. No pug is ever going to run one.
IMO nobody should do skips in PUG 10s, because at the 10 level, there will always be people who don’t know how to do it, who won’t have invis pots even after saying they do before I put the key in, pull a bunch of extra mobs, wipe the group, and waste a bunch of time.
There are people in 20’s that don’t know how to do it either lol. It’s a risk I guess, but it does make things a lot easier sometimes. Skipping that first pull in PF is great.
This week I’ve come close to ooming on my paladin, because players rely heavily on the healer for grevious. They either don’t use defensives not health pots, which means I’m forced to cast spam into them to keep them alive.
It does somewhat get easier as you go up levels, yet it also gets harder given things begin to smack hard.
Bruh I boost for houkan, and it drives me up the wall when tasks try to do fancy skips or huge pulls. Which is a terrible ideas given we’re down a DPS, come close to failing keys because of it.
Players can be very special though is the thing, they don’t seem to grasp certian situations. Mean that you need to pull differently, or more casually, over acting like its a 19-20 key.
Sure is! Same thing with the hallway of doom in SD. And on both, people will run straight through the mobs and pull them! LOL
Really? That hasn’t been my experience. They usually pull pretty conservatively. That must be annoying though lol. People generally pay for untimed so I don’t know why the tank would even bother with that.
Interesting, I didn’t know you could skip that hallway. Most groups I’m in do a skip between the first 2 bosses and that pack before the hallway.
God I did a top last night, and the tank pulled 90% of the slow adds, and it killed everyone once. I just couldn’t keep up with the healing because of the absurd damage going out, even popped everything I had.
We still timed it though, was rough and made me want to scream at times with how he was pulling. Heck he even tried to pull a mini boss with a pride, wiped the group with that one cause the pride got to 20 stacks.
I hate people that pull prides into bosses. Just how much time does that save? Maybe that’s necessary at some point, but it’s so far beyond me that I doubt I’ll ever have to worry about it. I like to sign up for the easy sales, 10-14’s. Even if the tank gets crazy, that’s usually pretty manageable but I haven’t seen any real head scratchers yet.
A while back some healer made a case for all DPS getting Decursive. I wish that would happen.
Bad players are everywhere. It’s just when you start doing higher keys, you start to get better players to apply. Like if I make a +8 group, sometimes the best player I find will have like a 600 io.
a case for all DPS getting Decursive
Sorry, decursing is a DPS loss…as is using an interrupt ![]()
Doesn’t necessarily have to be decursive, but at least have it on your bar and be ready to use it.
The gargoyles at the start of Castle Nathria piss me off as a druid. A curse on everyone in the raid . . . and I’m the only healer with anti-curse and the mages and boomkins do nothing . . .
It’s 8 seconds between every cleanse!
I know it’s just trash but . . .
That’s just a waste of gold.
Really? I am just Casual and herbs and other resources even gold are raining in the game. Is it becoz I am playing it properly that these Sanctum upgrades really have uses and somehow you dont know them? Btw, I am flasked 24/7, could pot 24/7, food buffed 24/7. This is necessary for me becoz I am more of a carrier on my PuG runs than a carry. And I dont mind wasting my herbs becoz it’s really overflowing. I rather use it than sell it.
Being able to afford it doesn’t make it any less wasteful. You really don’t even need food and oils for most keys, but it probably looks lazy if you don’t use them lol. If it didn’t put your invis pot on cd, then swing away, but over time I think you’ll find more value in invis pots than agility pots. How much dps are you really gaining?
