Not disputing you, but if it’s true it’s surprising. When I graduated HS back in 2007 it seemed like everybody had a flipphone or candybar type phone of some sort, with the hip kids all carrying Motorola Razrs. It’s hard to imagine phones becoming less ubiquitous since then.
