It’s not the phone that’s unaffordable for many, it’s the contract. I have a very affordable prepaid plan that is attached to my account. There is only a single cell provider that works in my area, but I was very happy when we actually got it because one is better than none. But I use a prepaid plan because the phone I could buy doesn’t have a contract. (Honestly, all the prepaid/contract stuff really confused me when I got my phone. It’s a nice, 5G smart phone, but my provider insists it can only use a prepaid plan.)
