Kel'thuzad has to be in Shadowlands

Think you hit the nail on the head here, mate.

No… Kel’Thuzad’s phylactery was given away to one of the priests of the Argent Dawn, who turned traitor and helped restore Kel’thuzad as opposed to destroying the phylactery. In return he himself was turned into a Lich as a reward.

He’s the Lich we beat up at Winterhaven? in Dragonblight, the settlement that Naxxramas is floating over in Wrath of the Lich King.

When we take out Kel’Thuzad in Naxx 10/25 in Wrath we don’t find or destroy his phylactery.

Personally i see him showing up as a sort of Queen Azshara figure. so like in 9.1 or 9.2

that some we should find out i don’t about you guys but the first thing i do is to test that in shadowlands

…what?

Considering both Arthas and Sylvanas got sent straight to the Maw, I wouldn’t have much faith in Kel’thuzad or other willing architects of the Scourge making it to Maldraxxus.

This is of course, assuming we destroy Kel’thuzad’s phylactery and actually kill him, or it gets retconned that that already happened, or was unnecessary.

I don’t remember destroying his phylactery.

It’s time for Kenan and Kel’Thuzad!

The irony of discussing Kel’Thuzad in a nercr0’d thread is not lost on me.

Not necessarily true, before BFA in Tirifsal glades, there was an extremely powerful Lich (lore wise) that just hung out at a lake and fished, I believe he was for a quest but can’t recall. But his physical form was just a forsaken, nothing like liches.

But yeah, it hasn’t been clarified as to why Kel’thuzad is in the SL, at no point did we destroy his phylactery, or even find it, the only person who knows it’s location is Kel’thuzad, who didn’t even tell Arthas about it.
