I admittedly don’t fully understand the meaning behind it. But it is definitely something I’ve heard of as a term used by racists. There’s a whole thing about a made up nation called “kekistan”. I think the idea is that they sarcastically identify as being from there, and get “offended” by certain things. That’s the impression I’ve gotten from the small amount I’ve encountered it. I frankly don’t care. I don’t seek that kind of crap out.

I mean I get the argument you are making but why would we let a bunch of closet rejects take symbols away from other groups or cultures?
If 4chan decides today to make the rainbow flag now a representation of white supremacy do we expect the lbgtq+ community to roll with it? No we wouldn’t because that is absurd.

When you think about it, the majority of people give hate groups immense power, because hate groups know that all they have to do is take a word/style, make it their own, then everybody freaks out about a word/style that was totally OK before.
