Most competitive PvPers will tell you that everyone in PvP being on an even playing field is the best route for gear progression, so I’m not alone on that. Anyone that PvPs should have access to the same gear, that is BiS for PvP. Even if all they do is random BGs. It worked that way in the past, it was just slower for them to get all the gear.
I’m not sure why you even post in these threads other than to antagonize PvPers though. You do zero PvP content and this doesn’t affect you in any way whatsoever.
No, you keep referring to the honor loot from random BGs. That’s the reward. I do understand that you think it’s not a good one though.
None taken. Opinions are like you-know-what.
I have repeatedly in this thread and others expressed my support for PVP having it’s own gearing path. That doesn’t mean I have to agree 100% with your preference though.
Not everyone wants to do keys or raid either.
Queued content comes with entry level rewards. Same for heroic dungeons and LFR.
I would be inclined to agree if there was a pvp specific stat. But there’s not. As it stands right now the BiS is probably going to be gained through PvE. At the moment on ptr PvE trinkets are shredding people in half-seconds.
People who want to PvP should be incentivized to PvP for their best gear, not PvE.
I literally log into a character, Queue and get bored waiting and log out. I Can’t even justify wasting time in a random BG for “Fun” when its such a poor source of player interaction AND the gearing sucks
The gearing system takes more than double the amount of time to obtain vs mythic keys. This is not including lockouts.
if you think this is fine, then you’re literally insane.
that is fine, but both keys and raids have their own proper FAIR gearing system setup, unlike BGS.
BGs is not just simply a qued content. PVP content is way different.
A proper pvp system should be qued and measured heavily on the player’s MMR. Similar to Overwatch rank ques and League of legends rank que system.
We do not have a great MMR system for our pvp content. Nor do we have a proper gearing system as well.
If they want RBGs to be the way to go, then they need to setup a proper system for this.
Random BG is not simply “entry level content”. It’s the start AND endgame for PvPers, as rated BGs are exceedingly hard to get into. Even YOLO RBGs.
Arenas are not BGs either. So there really is no “hard” content for the endgame PvPer to earn his gear. Slowly getting good gear worked in past XPACs, like Wrath->WoD, and although it wasn’t great, it was good enough.
Forcing rated play WITHOUT a solo queue option, KILLS endgame PvP for a TON of players.
The lack of Solo Queue rated games is the only true issue here, as they keep forcing rating into play.
Hey, this RANDOM word capitalizing thing is fun lol.
Yes OVerwatch has a proper PVP stystem setup while WOW does not.
Right now, we only have BGS and thats the main content players do.
Arena is another pvp content.
RBGS basically do not exsist at this point.
Proper pvp system for wow would be.
Bgs and Arena quick play ques
…
Then we have RATED ques (solo or party) For every category.
arena 1s, 2s, 3, 5
RBG ques.
With heavy MMR systems taking into account.
And a system with balance team composition.
– meaning every team must have equal amounts of healers and tanks etc.
We don’t have this, once again.
We don’t even have a proper gearing system setup as well.
Pvp was just left for dead.
We don’t even have a system taht prevents high MMR players form boosting low MMR players.

Ok. How long does it take compared to LFD/LFR?
This video explains it. please watch when you can.
understandable. This is the main reason why PVP system in wow right now is not good. It is heavily outdated and not being evolved.
Pvp environment is different from PVE environment because of this.
Until this system is setup in wow. BG pvp, which is what the majority is playing, cannot be left this way.
Not until there is a proper que system setup for Rated PVP that includes.
ques for arena 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, RBGs 10v10, RBGS 30v30
An MMR system that properly ques players in the appropriate level and prevents boosting of MMR.
and a gear system that properly supports this.
The rating does not matter. I don’t play for the rating.
I literally could not care less for the rating # in a group setting, as I know it reflects team skill, not individual skill.
I’d play rated games to get enough of the currency that matters, to get better gear.
Better gear matters so I don’t get “outgeared” instead of “outplayed”, and it helps me solo old raids faster for gold and mogs.
That’s it.
In M+, your raider-io score “gatekeeps” you from being invited in the first place, to even get a chance at playing the dungeons/raids you want to play, so it matters. Especially since others’ performances directly affect your final rating.
This post is about the Great Vault weekly rewards. If you want to discuss a route about getting the gear slower through just doing BGs, make another thread.
YES! Kill the pvp community, so we dont have to listen / read their whines!
90% of the player base (at least) is PVE - let’s kill pvp and put it on the back burner like ffxiv does, so we never have to bother with it again. Sign me up
This thread hasn’t just been about that for about 250 replies now.
Serious question, do you ever contribute anything constructive to the PvP threads you come to troll in? Every PvP thread, you say nothing relevant and try to antagonize the PvPers posting about their own issues with the game while having no stake in it yourself. Why even bother?
And yet it is what I replied to. So if you reply to me, that is what you are trying to discuss. If it is not what you want to discuss, you can just stop replying.
I made a summary of how our PVP system should have been taken care of so i don’t have to explain this fully every time.
Until our pvp content is actually thought of for once and given proper modern changes, these current system blizz is giving us is just further hurting our community and pvp experience. Please understand, PVP and PVE are two separate worlds. And as well, there are ways to open up this world to both communities without hurting any of them.
