Now that I think about it, dragon riding may not even work very well or even be cumbersome in “old” Azeroth. Most zones are flat and parts that are vertical are smooth except for the very top (no place to perch and recharge). Lots of trees and things in the way too. For instance, about 80% of the land south of SW would be difficult at best. Compared to traditional flying this may be a tortoise vs hare thing.
What makes them inferior? Cuz they look fine. The thing we use to edit them ain’t really implemented properly yet but the base dragonriding mounts are fine
Fine? Maybe youre right they look just fine but not good. Not good at all compared to the current drakes already in wow.
The reindeer zandalar dragon (wut)
A wyvern with ram horns (meh)
The new drake model (honestly looks cross-eyed and dopey)
The proto-drake with more pixels.
The only one that looks good the the protodrake because the havent changed it at all.
Having to stable every drake ive already got for these… subpar dragons.
Just like flying how wasnt broken, the existing dragons/drakes werent broken either.
Because the new drake model reflects nothing about the older drakes except the skeleton its built on? How anyone could think the new dopey drake beats the iconic -on the box- drake is beyond me.
Yes the new uber customizable mounts are inferior to my sleepy emerald drake or spawn of onyxia.
