Do we actually think Blizzard is going to change nearly a thousand abilities that are easily seen by animations? Earthen Wall totem has been in the game for how long and is still damn near invisible? Ya’ll trippin.

And having stuff like Ret nameplate glow a bit during wings or w/e wouldn’t even be that bad it’s more that people can see that the monk has leg sweep in exactly 14 seconds or how many charges of roll or blink they also have
It’s just too much info too much of a barrier for pve and pvp

Like, I’ll storm bolt a monk before or after they sweep, then next bolt which is a few seconds late will be into fists of fury to stop their ability to parry and a bit before my third bolt is up they’ll have sweep again
I think this sort of organic and natural timing of things is better than having a LITERAL giant number for all their abilities tracked by whatever addon either on their frame or in the middle of your screen with omnibar
Almost every interrupt in the game ( minus dk’s ). Almost every damage increasing ability (minus combust and bestial wrath). Then there are an unlimited amount of useless spells that looks way to flashy for what they actually do. Idk to me it seems like an insurmountable task. Without mentioning all the hard lifting BigDebuffs does idk brother it’s a lot.

If I press pummel on a caster they’ll either get cog or be interrupted
Now they know I don’t have pummel for 15 seconds (less with talents but let us forget those for a moment)

if it was a duel sure but most teams have 2-3 interrupts they are just gonna be perma locked

Awareness is still going to be required in arena. They are taking away our awareness so it needs to come from somewhere else. Massive overhaul in buffs or animations is the obvious solution?
A properly curated mentorship program is also an option that other modern sports have fostered over the years. It costs money that blizzard is never going to dish out tho. Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is present in almost all major disciplines. We have a excruciating amount of glads that aren’t encouraged to give back to the game and that is partially on the players but imo mostly on blizzard.

Frankly, I feel like they should add more modifiers to reduce the CD of this or that through taking certain actions. More importantly, the amount of reduction you get should be randomized to an extent (i.e. instead of 4s for performing X action, you maybe get a reduction of between 1s and 4s). This would make it much harder to predict what’s coming, or when.
This is gonna be just like the time they put every ability on the GCD and people were like “oh lets see how it shakes out, maybe they are right” -because some people lick boots to a company you have been paying money to for two decades? - and it will suck and they will have to revert it over time just like the GCD thing slowly putting abilities back off the GCD until we are back where we started.
Blizzard is terrible at innovation and creating, they are much better at stealing. Amazing at it even. They should stick to that.
We still haven’t fully recovered from this trash. I’m beginning to think we never will.

I’m honestly kinda looking forward to seeing how many people suddenly can’t fight their way out of a paper bag once the addons are gone. We’ll know real quick who was reliant on scripts.
Buut, that being said, I predict my amusement will last about .02 seconds, because there’s zero chance they manage to get the transition to having no addons right. This is gonna be a rough one.
