Kawhi (NA) vs Kungarna (EU) who would take it?

Saying with the rdruid nerfs and shaman mana nerfs hpal and priest last well into damp till stun lands kill. Thus most teams aren’t winning off a mana less team just trinkets and cds down.

I mean, state of the game doesn’t change state of a comp or the playstyle of a team. C9 with chan/snutz on it was a team where they were comfortable going into damp but could play the 2 minute game.

GG is a team where their comps are ones that can extend to dampening, and generally are comfortable into dampening, but can accelerate the gamestate just as easily. The difference with them as a team vs the meta is that their comps generally have enough ways to stall out mistakes and survive to their next win condition. While Hpal is going to be the meta after double lege + 4p, there’s no reason to just not play what you’re comfortable with since it’ll net you more results than playing a healer you’re going to have to put substantial time into practicing to compete with other healers who have that practice already.

Think Kungarna wins it. I think Raiku’s complete domination along with Mehh on TBC to pair with absurd tourny success on live just goes to show how adaptable that guy is to any changes in the game. I’m not saying I don’t think a team like Nuked/Kalvish/Curney aren’t great but I have a hard time imagining them going and instantly competing with Mir/Avizura/Mirok/etc. Is that really a relevant point to this, probably not, but I think it’s a telling example about overall skill and adaptability.

Kawhi impressed me a LOT when they brought in Prev and started winning RPP, Godcomp, etc. mainly because a big part of me wondered if part of their consistent success mid/late BFA-SL was that hpal/mage/ww was just SO good for SUCH a long time. They 100% proved me wrong and showed they could do well with other things. Brain is absurd on hpal. I’ve seen some rsham from him as well. I do wonder, however, if hpal was legitimately WEAK how they would do. Chas is a healer where I think he can pick up any healer and legitimately be top 3~ in the world no matter what. With Brain I have no doubt he could play other heals but if Hpal was in an early SL MW sort of state, I’m curious to see how things would go if he more or less either HAD to main another heal most games or play a severely gimped spec.

Overall think both of those teams are nuts. Prev was such a solid addition for Kawhi. Mehh would pick up mage on WOTLK AT and still win tournaments against the best so have no doubt Kungarna’s variety could be phenomenal. Biggest weakness imo is lacking another clear caster for Raiku to pair with if caster cleaves became strong again. Think both teams have a roster that will be dominant for a long time, especially with Snutz/Chan out of the running.

Only thing that could stop Kungarna would be another ban lol
