Black blood = oil

It comes from inside the planet, the greedy Goblins are after it. It corrupts people, and it’s destroying the planet.

Me when I realized it’s supposed to be an allegory for oil:

I’m not exactly sure what black blood is but I assume we’re not safe if it’s in enemy hands. :robot::sweat_drops:

I can’t wait for the expansion where the United States invades Azeroth for its vast oil reserves.
With new and exciting classes like Marine Raiders, Walmart as the capital city, grinding rep for big corporations, and a bunch of subraces for Human with various potentially offensive racial abilities and passives.

I’m sure when the evil Xal’atath baited us into fighting a war with the Nerubians with the black blood underneath us there wasn’t any deeper meaning there too, nope, no way

And it was to fuel her greater war against destroying the planet? Dang that’s crazy…

So deep.

I love it when sentient globs of Old god gunk crawl out of my Equinox’s gas tank…

Runs off like a raccoon or a Goblin that’s found a vein of platinum

Jack Burton: That is not water.
Egg Shen: Black blood of the earth.
Jack Burton: Do you mean oil?
Egg Shen: I mean black blood of the earth.

As hollow Azeroth is I’m supposed it hasn’t callapsed or imploded.

Iridikron likely hasn’t considered destroying the planet in this big scheme. :memo::robot:

Just stop oil :4head:

I love it when people see the most painfully obvious allegory and have their mind blown. Its barely veiled with minimal subtlety.

Honestly I’ve never seen anyone mention the connection before.

And it’s not the first time there’s been a mysterious liquid that is full of power and corrupts people in this game series, either. So it just kinda flew right past me.

Sure. But Xally has.

Hmm, WC2 had literal oil in it. They didn’t really need to use an allegory for it but I wouldn’t put it passed them.

Only if Azeroth is a threat to the Petrodollar.

Because no one invented fusion powered cars yet with enough energy to drive to Pluto and back. Were stuck with oil till then.

We don’t talk about the Xenedar
