Kaldorei Worgen as an Allied Race

I am here to say those foolish individuals pining for lightforged undead are Infact nothing but fools! If Kaldorei Worgen were indeed to be added to the alliance as a allied race than a elf race not a undead would need to be added to the horde.

My personal theory is if Kaldorei worgen are added they would add San’layn would be added to the horde. It is both undead and elf race.

i would kill to see this with the shanlayn for horde.
Sylvanis comes back with a bunch of friends and all is forgiven but gen is like " heck naw, tyranda lets unleash the hounds "

They are no different from current worgen models!
Are you going to use a retcon (what would be another retcon after so many others to justify another skewed idea?) To justify a unique look that never existed until that moment to bring that idea to life?

Who will recruit this group? They are worgen! They should then be recruited by worgen! But aren’t night elves too?

So what are the Night Elves going to recruit? What will the worgen recruit?

I prefer not to do it, just to use the theme already used by Gilneas in Night elves!

Think the alliance would get undead humans (Calia and Derek) and horde get undead Kal’dorei (Sira And Delaryn) [spelling notwithstanding]?

It seems given that undead are historically such a horde race that receiving them on alliance without quid pro quo seems odd. The story is built around both of them so they’re already in game so to speak. Honestly (thinks of the honestly thread) not sure how I’d feel about either!

I think Dark Rangers are more likely than San’layn honestly. Would cover the elf and undead trope just the same.

Looking at a lot of old Lore, it seems the original writers loved Night Elves.

But the current ones hate them with every fiber of their soul.

I can only see the Kaldorei Worgen as a Druid Option.

I’m more interested in seeing Cat People and Snake People on the Alliance.

I don’t understand this logic? We have seen retcons for races already… Draenei, Worgen, Void Elves to name a few. Why not “retcon” Kaldorei Worgen’s appearance to make them slightly different but keeping the overall Worgen look? I don’t see the issue with this like making them hairier, thinner, taller, different ears since they are Kaldorei instead of human. All of these things could be a ways to differentiate them. Not to mention the ones I was specifically mentioning were the ones STILL trapped in the Emerald Dream, not the ones already released, because maybe their appearance was altered by the Dream/Nightmare.

I also don’t understand your logic of them using a theme Gilneans already use… you mean the way Lightforged Draenei are just extra light based compared to regular Draenei? Or how Mag’har Orcs are just… well Brown Orcs. Some of the AR’s share themes so what’s the difference?

As for recruiting them I imagine it would be Genn and Tyrande as they both want to hunt down Sylvanas.

At this point I’m like this would make too much sense for Blizzard to do. They’ll probably invent some new Alliance race that got a new hair style thanks to a chemical explosion.

The nightmare doesn’t just alter someones appearance though. It warps their minds as well. Even as angry as they are, I highly doubt Tyrande, Malfurion, or Genn would ever trust anything coming from the Nightmare much less go into try and recruit someone from it.

That comic is pretty sweet, I love the depiction there. And I know I’m going to be hit with a broom, but I support this and would roll one.

But this retcon, made just to value night elves, with something we worgen already have, just devalues worgen!

It seems ridiculous for two races to share the same allied race!
But I think Blizzard might like it, as they would have to do half allied race for two alliance races! Half the work for half the players in the other faction! Profit!

No one even cares how this might affect what worgen or night elves might recruit after another lazy move!
Not to mention that it would already be the 5 race made from elves!
More elves?

And if Auntie Blizz didn’t think that for a vile tail in a worgen, it’s too big an act to do, imagine making a new worgen model that is subtly different from the existing one or more noticeably different, as are the kultirans in relation to the standard human model?

If they were brought into play, they would have to lose the famous natural ferocity of the wild worgen, getting to the same level as Gilneas’s worgen! Without any distinction!

What will Blizzard do?
Put an antler on a worgen’s head?
Give them a color distinction that they limited in the worgen? A tail anyway?,
Or maybe make them part wood and rocks?

Worgen doesn’t even have distinct druid forms!
If we take into account how much Blizzard likes to do something for the alliance, always delivering a corrupt version of what was wanted ( Corrupted wishes, for Ally, obviously ), I don’t think we will have worgen elf, the way many dream to have!

I’d race change my night elf druid into one in a heart beat if they came with all wolf based druid forms.
Been wanting one for quite a while.
Still think Gol’dorei would be a decent name… The Children of Goldrinn.

Still think Satyr would have made for a neat horde opposite.
