Justice for the Frostmane tribe

Soo… I was discussing trolls with Akiyass and the subject of all land belonging to trolls when frost trolls came up. I was reading about them and it got me mad. The dirty dwarves totally conquered the snowy lands that the Frostmane Tribe has lived in for years. Dun Morogh really is troll land I never even knew this before. The more I learn about the Trolls the more I realize so much has been robbed from them.

On Azeroth, you keep what you can defend. If you can’t defend it, you can’t keep it.

Dawg. The only Trolls I care about are the Darkspear. They are OG Horde. But if I had it my way I’d say we could move the Frostmane Tribe into Suramar or Quel’thelas. If anyone deserves to pay reparations to trolls it would be the Blood Elves.

It’s Wold of WARCRAFT, not Heaven of the Justice.

Elves, Dwarves, and Humans have been stealing our stuff since time immemorial.

Unfortunately most tribes are too prideful to ask for an assist. : (

/yawn

I mean they accepted assistance and stuff from the Zandalari before but not the Horde I think maybe cause they see Horde has elves in it.

Trolls just aren’t good at winning wars.

Frostmane had a bunch of crates with the Horde emblem on them from what I remember scattered around their camps. At least they did after Cata.

Did you think they were kidding when they said all land is troll land?

Nah I kind of agree with it. But that was what got me looking stuff up. person i was talking/arguing w/e with said “the amani and debatably the frost trolls, but that’s only 2 who else??”… so i went to read more lore and i found out no, it isn’t even debatable the frost manes were conquered and robbed. of course i found a lot more examples. now i give the night elves a little leeway even though they are hated enemies of the zandalari because of the huge war but they were originally trolls themselves and have some claim to certain lands they occupy because of that imo.

All land is Human/Dwarf/Gnome land. Chronicles Volume I has the Titans arriving at Azeroth and ordering it before the Trolls existed. Therefor, Titan Constructs were the first sentient life on Azeroth (made from Azeroth no less), and their descendants have all legitimate claim to the lands of Azeroth.

Sorry Trolls. You’re no longer the original owners of Azeroth.

Though the Old Gods always were either way, but who counts them?

that’s dumb can you quote the book on the origin of the trolls?

either way the titan constructs are just that constructs and they were corrupted with the curse of flesh and only then did they begin to spread and steal troll lands. lands the trolls independently settled before any one else. so yeah, trolls still have the most claim to the lands.

I’ll admit to skimming through the book to find what you’re looking for, but the first the Trolls are mentioned is the start of Chapter 3, describing how the Empire of Zul forms. This, mind you, happens AFTER events such as Odyn raising the Halls of Valor because he wants Vykrul to form the Valarjar. So, while the fleshy ancestors of Humanity were busy actually doing stuff, the Trolls hadn’t even formed a nation yet.

It’s… actually weird how little the Trolls were mentioned. I’m going to go back and re-read the parts about Ra-Den. I could’ve sworn the Zandalari had a hand in that whole business…

(Edit): I forgot how much of a mess this book is. Humans come BEFORE Trolls in it. That’s just all kinds of retconned nonsense.

id like the books but they’re friggin expensive and i don’t feel like ordering all 3 of em lmao

either way from browsing wow-pedia and stuff i still think my claims hold. the humans/gnomes/dwarves are still derived from titan constructs and by the time their descendants infected with the curse of flesh began to migrate/settle the lands they found were already occupied and claimed by trolls who had originated naturally out of the wild life from the wells of eternity.

You could always try for an E-Book version. Those are cheaper. But yeah, before Chronicles the Trolls were the first sentient race. Now the Vykrul and Humans both were there before the Trolls were.

No one cares about trolls. Especially the ice ones. No good blue furries.

The Darkspears were not the first troll tribes associated with the Horde. The Blackhand Horde had associations with East Kingdom Trolls who dropped them like a hot potato after Hammerfall.

The problem I have with the Troll’s claim of “Having their lands taken away” is the trolls feel like all land is their own. The Troll Empire came to be mostly from a lack of competition. Without the threat of C’thraxxi, the Trolls fought themselves. As soon as the elves came along, the Troll empire started dwindling fast.

I am not saying what the dwarves did was right, but you can see the problem where someone is trying to settle, and every time the choose a spot its:

“No, that’s ours.”
“Oh, okay… what about here?”
“That’s ours too.”
“… Here?”
“Ours.”

The trolls, as they are now are the sad remnants of a mostly unimpressive empire, who glorify their unimpressive past with illusions of grandeur, and have never really been able to let go of that.

Trolls are like that 50 year old guy who still talks about his High School Football years. Like Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite.

Trolls were cooler in Warcraft 2, just saying.

why not just live together peacefully in communion on the land

I feel like this part isn’t emphasized often enough about the Titanforged. It’s easy to just claim they’re non-native, and call it a day. But, while artificial, they are entirely native. They didn’t ask to be here. They didn’t come from somewhere else. In fact, they’re not found anywhere else. They were shaped from the stones and metals that literally make up Azeroth’s flesh.

The way I look at it:

  • The planet: Azeroth’s body

  • Old Gods and minions: Infections, or carcinogens

  • Tauren, Trolls/Elves: Azeroth’s naturally occuring antibodies

  • Titanforged: A manufactured vaccine/antibiotic

  • Draenei, Orcs: Contracted microbes, complete with initial infections (the First and Second Wars, and the ecological damage of crashing on Azuremyst), but later incorporated into her microbial flora
