Wow, that’s a whopper of a conspiracy theory. Have to admit i hadn’t heard that one before, i will have to go see what the interwebs can dig up.
I disagree. I see bison farms all over from MO up through Nebrasaka the Dakotas and into Wyoming and the Yellowstone and I just think we need to make them a protected species. You edge up and honk at them to get them to move but like a bald eagle you don’t harm and you shelter them and let them run - Don’t get me wrong beef is great but buffalo is better. Let’s set some cattle states and GROW crops for grazing instead of depending on free range, free food.
Sure, Oprah and Johnson are big smiles about buying up the land. There’s plenty of ads and videos. That’s what you’re going to see: Marketing.
The fire was confirmed controlled arson by fire experts regardless of what the mainstream media tells you. There’s video of people reporting the fire starting and officials ignoring their calls. The ‘wild’ fire spreads but perfectly avoids million dollar cottages of elites, directly targets the smallfolk, you can see how obviously planned it was in video and pics from while it was spreading.
There’s plenty of people on site who had to smuggle in supplies on jetski for the survivors from around the other side of Lahaina because Red Cross (also elites) wasn’t allowing anything that didn’t come through their donations because that’s how they make money and it keeps morale low so the residents are more willing to sell.
Standard elite stuff. You’re not suppose to hear about it in full, you’re just suppose to consume products.
This post sounded awfully familiar like I had read/heard it before. Turns out I had
During a House Armed Services Committee meeting held on 25 March 2010, Rep. Hank Johnson, a Democrat from Lithonia, Georgia, questioned Admiral Robert Willard, commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, about a proposal to move 8,000 Marines from the Japanese island of Okinawa to the U.S. Pacific island territory of Guam. In the course of that questioning, Rep. Johnson expressed concern that adding thousands of Marines and their families to Guam might cause that small island to “tip over and capsize”
Only Johnson knows for sure what he was thinking as he questioned Admiral Willard, and he later claimed he was “speaking metaphorically” and “kidding” (although critics noted no trace of humor was apparent in his words, tone, or body language, nor did he react or offer correction when Admiral Willard addressed his concerns about the island’s “tipping over” as if they were meant literally)
Did you know how many soldiers were already stationed at Guam at the time and how many base houses were available? Because it’s about 4.500 fluctuating and 6,000 at capacity in multiple fields of the military NOT just marines. So tip over and capsize was correct.
I remember hearing about this. It raised questions as to Johnson’s capabilities for his public office position because he wasn’t “just kidding” when he’d said that.
Anyway, that’s not why I picked Guam. I just pulled Guam out of my butt because that dumb question had turned into a brain worm and has since been multiplying rapidly.
I just stopped sharing my dumb thoughts. Still can’t sleep though.
Such is life.
If I can clarify for you. Guam will host 2,500 to 3k soldiers of varying branches somewhat comfortably. If it’s a war time situation we can boost that up to 6k and live sparse, bedding on lawns and homes of locals. But 8k would start sinking the operation and make it to costly for everyone in resources.
Guam is super damp food and supplies rot quickly. Even base houses moulder and are constantly being rebuilt. So 2k troops are hopeful, 3k are amazing. But Guam rots stupid super fast. We had 5k I think in 2007, when we were keeping detainees.
When Hank Johnson said Guam would tip over, he meant literally.
That the island of Guam would either sink or tip over. Physically do this. The whole island.
Now I get some really stupid thoughts that like to wander across my brain pan but I know the difference.
I don’t think Hank Johnson does. I like to think he’s the exception to the rule in the House but unfortunately, he’s not.
There’s even dumber in there, holding seats.
He might have meant physically. The amount of bodies on the island and the people policing them was pretty incredible. But obviously he thought the land was top heavy like a floatie with too many beers weighing it down and tipping it over. Financially speaking he wasn’t wrong, the needs were top heavy for an island that had no resources to deal wih federal crimninals to this extent.
He has a beautiful voice, lovely talent.
not if there is a single lighter or cigarette lit. Y’all at the farticon’ll be dead.
It’s from my favorite opera, Turandot. Giachino Puccini made some good stuff back in the day.
No kidding!
I mean, you’re not the only one that has weird thoughts, I’ll admit, I’ve had some weird ones myself.
I’m definitely going to have to watch that sometime and see if I can pay attention to the whole thing. I love the music and the individual songs but entire operas I have trouble getting through.
I lack the comprehension for them.
Such beauty though and the pitches they can attain and maintain.
They’re amazing. Tyvm for sharing this with me.
And that is a bad thing?
If they were made to stay there, then yes. It would be a very bad thing.
We’re all here on a temporary journey. I don’t think it’s right to shorten that unless you have no other choice.
But that’s me.
According to some people, the world is “overpopulated” so shedding a few billion, would “fix” the issue.
Those people are wrong. Besides, nature has a way to correct over populations.
It’ll balance out. Always does.
i am well aware they are wrong, and my opinion, shouldn’t be re said here but i will say it vaguely, they are on earth too, they are part of the problem, they have a choice they can make to help solve the problem.
