Or you can just organize your bags, instead of letting everything pile up like people do now. Bag management isn’t all that hard.
IIRC, there is Runecloth Bags, which are 16 slotters. Though the pattern is hellacious to get.
Correct, Runecloth is the biggest in classic.
14 slots right?
Runecloth Bags are 14 slot. Mooncloth Bags are the ones that are 16, and the biggest craftable bag is Bottomless at 18.
Ah, okay. My brain was insisting the Runecloth were 16, too (knew about the Mooncloth).
I don’t think I ever saw anyone with a Bottomless Bag…

Run! Run from the delicious, necessary spell components and ranged weapon ammunition!
What is this, bag space for ants?
You forgot Alternative gear sets (tanking, healing, etc.) potions / cooked food buffs, alternative pvp trinkets, engineering items such as grenades, rocket boots, rocket helms, battle chickens, resistance gear, professions gear like mining or skinning gloves, pick axe, mount speed gear, rogue poisons and mats, sharpening stones, and most importantly your limited edition [Nat Pagle’s Extreme Angler FC-5000]along with mats for make plenty of camp fires and fishing lures.
You have 5 open inventory slots. Best of luck farming.
And don’t even @me if you don’t have your hard leather ball or hard packed snowballs to harass your own faction with.
The return of the bank alts…lots of level 1/2’s running around IF and SW.
I had several…bankeeboy, pjmorgan, etc.
Dressed them up in tuxedos too.

I’m still torn between an Male orc with a full suit, monocle and top hat with either a raptor and aspec of the cheeta, or a s u c c ibus.
I’ll probably name him something dumb like Adieubanker
You also had the world drops …travelers bag and pumpkin bag at halloween. Those were 16 slotters.

biggest craftable bag is Bottomless at 18.
I had never heard of that one. No wonder: a ridiculously rare pattern, and with all various cooldowns factored in, you can only make one bag per 16 days. (I have no idea if that’s still the case if the modern game, but why go to the trouble when easier and better bags are available to make?)

the biggest craftable bag is Bottomless at 18.
But everyone will have an 18 slot Onyxia Hide Backpack, and probably an 18 slot Panther Hide Sack when ZG comes out.

as someone who spent half his adult life backpacking around the world, I can confirm that you need to plan and bring with you things you will need to put into your pack during your adventure. immersion.
This!!!
The game is an adventure and it should feel like one. If you make a mistake and plan poorly that is great! Why? You learned and got experience for your next adventure. This is why the game was great. You made decisions, they mattered! It was one adventure after another and sometimes poor planning ended up being the best ones, because you still made it!
My warlock will have a soul shard bag, no worries. I will have the bags i need in my bank for reagents.

But everyone will have an 18 slot Onyxia Hide Backpack, and probably an 18 slot Panther Hide Sack when ZG comes out.
Maybe the officers of the few raiding guilds on each server… but certainly not everyone.
I think most players are over estimating even today the average player dedication / skillset.
40-50 weeks in everyone in the raid will have one.

The rest can be cheesed with the alt bank/mailbox inventory work around.
This is one of the most useful things to teach players about, that always gets left out of guides. +1
For anyone confused :
Your mailbox basically is an extra bank. Just mail everything that isn’t bound to you and that you don’t need immediate access to, to your alts.
You can keep them sitting in your alt’s inventory, their mail box (which courtesy of “some changes” holds up to 12 items per mail), or if you want them on the main toon, just return the in game mail from your alt (after an hour to deliver it to that alt initially) and the mail can sit in your main toon’s mailbox.
It ends up being a positively massive extra amount of effective storage that players forget about.
