It’s literally Blizzard’s fault.
They were happy to collect all the transfer money to overpopulated realms and now that they are double/triple over capacity it’s a “player created problem” when ONLY THEY have the accurate data available to see that this realm is going to have issues in the future.
It’s their responsibility to police realm population and lock servers BEFORE they become problems like this. Blaming the playerbase now is literally shifting blame.
I dont need nor want your sympathy. We didnt go to straight to bene from skeram, because there was no horde there and when we went to heartseeker it was the most balanced server at the time. When we finally went to bene, it was the only real option left.
Did Blizzard make you transfer to Bene/Faer?
Are they holding you at gunpoint to prevent you from transferring off Bene/Faer right now?

Heartseeker was never balanced. It was Alliance heavy as all hell the milisecond transfers opened.

People that say “just transfer” are the worst kind of person, because they don’t have friends. If they had friends, they wouldn’t be so easy to transfer away from them.
My entire guild came with me. We picked a server and mass transfered a week after prepatch dropped.
Good try at making an appeal to emotion instead of sticking to facts though.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything. The problem is the unknowing, uncertainty, lack of communication, etc

I had long queues in original classic, so I transferred. It was a choice I made.
I didn’t know the server would die. I’ve stated it, but I mean literally dead. Not 1k players dead. Not 500. But 0 items on auction house dead.
So my choices were: 8 hour queue or no queue into an eventually dead server (not a thought it might die, but this literally happened and it was my actual, only choices)
So, yes my choices. But in what way is that fair, or healthy for the game? Do you have any recommendations on what i could have done better? Was I just supposed to know the server would empty when I picked it?
You were told megaservers were untenable and there was no magical backend hardware solution. You were and are being offered free transfers.
You knew queues were a problem on prepatch day. You know theyre a problem now.
The only thing preventing you from taking the solution offered is hubris.
Not been a complete lemming and followed everyone else to the megaserver.
Or failing that, recognized the giant neon sign that said THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO TRANSFER IF YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY PLAY WRATH WHEN IT DROPS that lit up on Prepatch Release.

There is no hubris here, I don’t know what you are talking about? He is fairly arguing that he was burnt once before, and doesn’t want to get burned again. Where is this hubris?

Past history does not precict futute results. Pretending to some form of prescience (I ONT WANNA TRANSFER THAT SERVER IS GONNA DIE IN A MONTH DUDE TRUST ME) to justify a bad decision is asinine.
You realize you could reverse this statement in 2 months time and it be true too. The problem is, Blizzard has given no future guarantees for people who transfer. The simplest thing they could do was guarantee a free future transfer for every toon you transfer now.
That, I think, would help a lot.
They have put 100% of the risk of transferring, however small or great you argue it to be, on the players themselves.
They could fix this part, at least, but they haven’t said anything, and they had 4 weeks to figure it out.

Not to sound condescending but you didn’t read anything I said. You keep saying “mega server” “you were told” without reading.
I was never on a “mega server”
I do NOT try to go to, or stay on, a mega server.
I created my character with my friends at the start of classic. There were no mega servers when we started.
Half my friends stayed, some of us switch. NOT TO A MEGA SERVER
The server died later on. If you read my post, there was literally 0 items on the auction house. Not, like a low amount, or a couple things, but literally 0.
I had to switch again. I am currently NOT on a mega server.
Read this, go back to my original response I sent you. If you need to, before you do that go outside and take a breather. Just read. Act like a real human and respond. Show people some respect. If you believe you are correct you can do so without lashing out and being needlessly aggressive, smug and dehumanizing.
To be clear, you aren’t making the points you think you are making, you are making the other people on your side of the argument look bad and actively disrupting the discussion. I actually do care what the other side has to say so pull yourself together and act like an adult.
They actively funneled people to Sulfuras, which currently has queues now.
They screwed that up pretty bad.
