I keep looking at my honor tab every now and noticing that I keep losing my earned honor. What’s going on here? I better not have wasted hours for nothing.
When I first looked, I hadgained ~3000 honor, up from ~8000, for a total of ~11000. I just looked a few moments ago (as of this post) and I am down to 3,824 under yesterday.

It appears they ran the honor/kill roll over job yesterday afternoon about 4 or 5 PM. Normally it runs about 3AM. Obviously this changed how things look. I haven’t logged on yet this morning to see if they ran the job again.
God knows what they are doing. They definitely have a problem with failure to capture honor earned in the early morning hours from 3 AM till 8. But I never expected them to test changes in the production system.
Addendum: Just logged in and checked. They did not run the rollover job again this morning. The numbers in the ‘This Week’ group appear correct - so for me they didn’t lose anything. The numbers in the ‘Yesterday’ group remain exactly what they were yesterday before the rollover - Tuesday’s numbers, and this is Thursday morning. (I have not been getting kills for honor in the early morning since I found the problem - so no idea if that issue has been addressed yet or not.) I still show a few kills in the ‘Today’ group that I earned yesterday evening after the early run of the rollover job.
Why would they address an issue that isn’t going to stop us from paying… oops meant playing. Bring back Blizzard North
This seems true for me as well… It still says I have 170 kills for today (minus the ~30 that went into the abyss?) despite me getting those yesterday. However they’re caching/storing this seems to be struggling. I’m not sure how it even works. I’m just wondering if I should stop PvPing at this point until it’s fixed? I’ve thrown a lot of time into it so far, I’m almost rank 6.
I didn’t start pvping until after this yesterday. Earned 17k honor according to honorspy. All my kills still in the “today” tab. It will be very evident if this is lost.
You ‘should’ be alright. Whenever they roll over to a new day you ought to see your honor in the weekly tally. Where we have been having consistent honor/kill losses is when the kill occurred in the early morning hours between 3 and 8 AM. It appears that the job that does the daily roll over is looking at the date/time stamp to select the prior days hk activity and is missing stuff that falls in that gap.
It’s as if they made changes to the way the cutoff roll over is being handled but they missed a value embedded in the code.
Yeah everything that was earned from 4pm PST-8AM PST yesterday is gone as of it resetting again 35mins ago.
I had 38767 when it did the 4pm reset, I then earned over 16k honor after that. I woke up today and got 65 kills worth 3819 and my “yesterday” says 65 kills 3819. So the other 16k is not accounted for anywhere on my honor sheet. I’m assuming anything we do from now until 8am tomorrow isnt going to count either.
Edit: 155/330 is actually accounted for meaning 258 kills worth about 11922 honor is completely missing from the sheet. So I should be on slight above 54k as of an hour ago rather than the “last week” of 42586.

I agree. It appears to be as you described. By running the rollover job hours earlier, they have increased the window of data that is being thrown into the bit bucket. At least now, it will effect many more people than the night owls - so maybe Blizzard will get the message?
18k honor lost from 5pm yesterday to the reset that happened today 4:30pm. I guarantee they are going to say this is a “display error”.
What is going on here blizzard? I’m missing all of my honor from hours and hours of grinding yesterday!!

The honor system is already bad, don’t need this added bug wasting hours more of our time. If this doesn’t get a response I’m not even going to bother with blizzard anymore.
had 60 kills today, logged for an hour now i’m showing 0s without the updated honor. gm responded to a ticket saying there is a problem and he would pass my ticket up as a bug
It’s looking like it finally rolled over from “yesterday” but that total is also incorrect. Good one, Blizzard.
Lol so each day that passes the honor it says im gaining is completely incorrect for the week and yesterday (and estimated today likely isnt accurate either), and each day that makes everything worse since im losing more and more honor. But sure Blizzard, ill just trust you when you say its only a visual UI problem on the players end…why would it completely incorrectly calculate my honor and miss a ton of honor if it was simply a visual problem? How is it calculating it, and tracking it properly on the back end…yet spitting out completely wrong data? Sounds like a bunch of bull to me.
Hey there Okta, just wanted to let you know as a player who frequently came into PVP against you. I stand right with you. Was Standing #1 Week 1 / Went to do the same for week #2 and ended up missing 7500-10000 honor daily in course of week #2. This was about 45-50 misplaced solo kills a day not accounted for. Ended with standing #5 for week #2 and 0 desire to play.
After two tickets (one being a copy and paste reply) the reply was to submit a bug and that this was a known issue.
they changed the rollover, it doesnt occur at 3am anymore. The previous bug was no honor recorded 3am-8am (server restart). Since the extended maintenance on Tuesday, honor rolls over at 4pm now. What this actually did is expand the bug to not record honor from 4pm-8am (server restart).
You can only gain honor from server restart -> 4pm now.
All I can say is… Wow. I have no words. That just sucks. So much wasted time then.
I can’t believe we’re having this discussion completely in the dark with no feedback, forcing us to speculate on how the actual servers run or are coded. Why are we forced to basically get in their head? That’s not our freaking job. That’s why we pay $15 a month
