Garrosh and friends seem to not be endowed with this power, as you know.
I mean it’s Garrosh. Even while alive, actually speaking was pushing the limits of his abilities. He would just open the gaping chasm that some people would charitably call a mouth, and random screaming would come out.
OK.
Lip synch fails are ok because you hate garrosh.
I refute this, but it’s ok if you feel that way.
Well imagine if somebody made a cinematic of an actual toddler, strapped to the baby seat of a shopping cart and throwing the mother of all tantrums.
Would you criticize the lip syncing on that, too? How could you even tell when it’s just a squirming mass of rage and tears?
If it was badly done, and someone felt the need to animate and voice/lip synch a toddler and put it into a game I play, then yes.
Poorly translated 80’s anime does lipsynch better than blizzards Sanctum cutscenes in many cases, and a fan did it better in probably about a week and probably part time.
You should demand better quality for your money, and stop defending them for yet another failure.
Pretty sure the Wrathgate cutscene had an astronomical budget on its own, and this is especially true considering the fact that it was fully CGI and was in 2008 when this stuff was both more primitive and exponentially more expensive than CGI is nowadays.
I explained what the issue was
But that’s a circular argument.
If CGI was way more expensive and resource demanding then, the quality should be much higher now… being it’s been about a decade and a half. To me the worst part is that the Garrosh cinematic could have been completely epic if it was just given that bit of polish.
The fact that some guy on the internet outdoes them for the memes, because their own animation was so bad, on what I would say is almost certainly a much leaner budget, really just exacerbates things.
It was either a “We don’t have time… we have to push this out now” or an “IDK they probably won’t even care” because they certainly have the resources and money to push behind it. They just chose not to.
It is. Go watch that Denathrius video again.
Oh, i forgot.
Garrosh cutscene is better because denathrius is good.
Sounds like you’re arguing that they should reduce the number of cutscenes they make and only release ones that are flawless masterpieces.
Fine with me. They never should have made that Garrosh one in the first place.
At least, not without the rubber nose and clown shoes.
Never argued that. Don’t deflect with supposition, it shows you haven’t an argument.
I want higher quality, maybe in line with their competition so their not meme generating laughingstocks.
Those types of cut scenes are far and few between this patch. That is honestly the only really good one. The Battle for Ardenweald cinematics/cut scenes were laughable at best. It was so bad I thought they accidentally uploaded the alpha version.
I think a big part of that was the dumb plot.
Lady Moonberry: “The Winter Queen is staying behind to protect the Heart of the Forest!”
Winter Queen: “You! Go check on the Heart of the Forest.”
Us: “Aren’t… aren’t YOU supposed to be doing that!!!”
Oh, so it wasn’t the laughable and poorly done animations of the characters involved in that cutscene with Jaina having the worst of it all?
The new cutscenes simply lack polish. I bet some higher up decided it wasn’t important to spend time and/or money on a minor cutscene and decided to ship it in a “in development” stage.
There is no mystery, Blizzard didn’t become retarded over the years, they are just trying to cut corners to maximize profits. They hoped no one would care and/or notice those cutscenes were unpolished.
