Just put a pve option

…no of course not. I haven’t done anything on a PvP realm. I’m not a masochist and the game remains as much fun as I ever hoped for on my PvE realm. But I think that if you think for just a second about whether the impossibility of getting a level 1 character to a “problem area” would actually stop that problem with your plan, something will very quickly occur to you. (Rhymes with “doorlock trummin.”)

Also, “problem areas people are talking about” comprise literally everywhere contested. If you mean to suggest that it’s not a matter of “you can’t level” but of “you can’t level through the 50s,” you have a few people complainin’ about Redridge to yell at.

And if you want to also state that AoE should be actively barred from PvP, you should spell that part out; I think it might reduce any minimal support your proposal would otherwise receive. I don’t know, maybe you’ve only ever played a priest, but for a lot of classes, “AoE isn’t valid in PvP” amounts to “you’re arbitrarily required to fight with one hand behind your back” whenever it’s not actually a duel.

Wow this is an absolutely horrific idea.

What is happening on PvP realms for the most part is not PvP however. The factions are so lopsided it is nothing but a zerg fest with no real option for those of the smaller faction. I am all for PvP and even uneven PvP but from all the videos people have posted it seems to be around 15 Horde per 1 Alliance. I know that is not the actual ratio but it is the truth for the moments in time captured in the videos. Telling people to reroll does not fix the issue. It will lead to completely dead factions on certain realms and leave the remaining faction 0 WPvP options.

I rolled PvE this time around simply because I knew what kind of childish antics would play out on PvP realms. A lot of the players who did not play Vanilla did not understand what 15 years of practice and knowledge would bring. It is a shame so many who enjoy PvP did not and made the mistake of going PvP as the Alliance.

well the redridge/darkwood one is a bug, theres a light that horde are tall enough to jump onto but most Alliance aren’t thus endless farming. (actually had a GM TP a small group of them off the roof the other day, the 4 of them didnt last long against even 3 of us)

As for the aoeing, again most people aren’t aoeing in pvp unless their in big groups waiting for people to zone. I suppose the except to that being mages, but again most of this is happening in lvl 50 areas, someplace no lvl 1 is going to make it too without corpse running more then what poeple are complaining about now.

Entitled tools are those trying to change PvP servers to PvE servers when there are PvE servers available.

That completely defeats the purpose of a PvP server…

no entitled tool are the ones sitting in raids killing anyone in sight, fight me like a man you entitled tools

I mean sure, I get it. I was ready to quit on day one when it looked like SS/TM was going to be ‘the way’ to get honor.

As it is, I gave up on my alts, they just get ganked and camped and I’m not taking time off to do it again, I dont have time.

So for me, it kind of just is what it is. I still enjoy what I can do at 60, and so I’ll do it until I cant.

But…ganking zerg fests IS wPvP. That is what PvP is.

Of course they aren’t going to post the videos where the balance is the reverse…
Been steamrolled plenty of times by a wad of allies.

This is just made up, or anecdotal evidence. You don’t know what the balance on the servers is, only Blizz does, and they aren’t sharing that information.

but we can look at stuff like realm pop and see most pvp servers do have a horde bias, it’s not as bad as most make it out to be but there’s pretty clearly a trend of pvp realms having a horde favor. also keep in mind these dont count people who havent logged in for a month or by lvl and such it’s just a flat population total.

personally id love to see the lvl 60 online in the last few weeks stats blizzard has

there is a pve option, its literally called a pve server

No you can’t. No where does this information exist in the public sphere for classic.
Post a link if you have the information.
realmpop is only for retail…

If this is alot of time to you, then you really aren’t cut out for this game.

we have access to classic warcraftlogs. Its not a perfect representation of the population of a realm, but it shows a large percentage of the active level 60 playerbase.

Actually its called a ‘normal’ server. These people specifically opted into a specialized PvP server and now complain about PvP getting in the way of PvE.

the addon realm pop and war graphs uses works on classic you know?

Dude lol…

That data is from over a month ago. Blizzard killed the census addons.
Warcraft logs is about the best we can do atm, until they release an armory for Classic.

by that logic

even a month ago Alliance was down what 15%?

do you think it’s gotten better or worse since then?

“Hey I know! Let’s make it so that we can turn pvp on or off in our capitol cities. That way all servers can be both pvp AND pve servers. Its the easiest and simplest solution!”
