I call it alterac valley gear because it’s not pvp gear. You bot characters for 8 weeks before you’re able to pvp unless you multibox or literally run down and kill npcs thousands of times pretending it’s a real videogame. This is why Anniversary is bleeding users. It’s not vanilla wow. The effort to make it casual friendly just made it a flabby mess

Things will even out with AQ gear. Its pretty obvious they aren’t changing anything.
Then neither are the player trends. No one is making alts because they have to do AV again. 80 iq design

Just for the record i don’t disagree with you. The current AV grind is an abysmal game experience. I’ve been vocal about it for months.
I just gave up on them doing anything about it. Outside the days they push out a new phases this version of the game is held together by 2 interns and an hamster.

They changed how honor worked for anniversary. It used to take months of hard grind to get r14. Now everyone has it

I understand that… but AV was still super meta in 2019 on the old system…
Nothing really changed… just that r14 is more obtainable for all.

Classic wow is garbage and ppl convinced themselves its an amazing game… only to beyond ruin the game with garbage min maxing for a third party logging site.

We are never going back to the vanilla ranking system.
It was trash.
People who like it are terrible people and have the worst taste imaginable.
Having said that, ranking gear is too easy to get. They should make ranks 12 through 14 harder to get by increasing the honor requirements for those ranks.

This is true but not because of AV
The true old AV did not give optimal honor and we have never gotten old AV.
Also no changes has no merit on anniversary, we have duel spec, chronoboon, no debuff limit, cross server bgs, and megaservers.

anniversary has been ruined cuz people want ez rank 14. i predicted this, warned about this, and now it’s here. the mess cannot be cleaned up. all we can do is hope for an adjustment to the honor system next fresh.

Eh, I think it is nice that they gave casuals a route to pvp power because otherwise would anyone be pvping at all? I even hear world pvp on NS hasn’t been all that exciting other than raid/dungeon entrance rumbles and ganking
I think it was a reasonable decision to let everyone get a taste instead of just leaving it to the terminally online and people who buy ranks/titles/achieves. oooh that might be part of it, people salty they can’t gatekeep or sell it for ridiculous amounts.
Play for fun not for prestige or bragging rights. If you really are super special people will still pick up on it, I promise.
We did the #nochanges thing in 2019, this is anniversary and they said from the get go there would be changes. With the accelerated phases players able to get R14 is kinda nice, many of us (not me) are keeping up with sod and cata as well theres tons of wow to play just enjoy the welfare epics and smile more.
