Oh I remember alright. That’s like only blood elves/high elves in Kaelthas groups.
There are still those who didn’t follow Blood Elves. Maybe perhaps you should be reminded of that.

Sounds like either we get high elves as a separate race or get more high elf customization and classes for void elves at this point since no one can agree to anything.
There are more NOs than YES to compromise. And I am sure Blizzard is not going forward with NO at this point
Don’t use the high elf customization and don’t play Paladin when the inevitably open up all classes for all races then.
You’d think people would listen, right?
This is WoW community we are talking about
I don’t understand this part. Why are VE players opposed to getting the paladin class? Assuming this is even on the table.
It was from an interview from an ex-Blizzard employee. I remember it popping up too. But basically, it was something like some developers thought it would bring in the Asian community’s female fanbase, and it was done for that reason.
Metzen however released his own take on the whole thing involving the blood elves, and part of it was for population purposes because the Horde had been bleeding, but the other part was they wanted to create a story where the pale skinned elven race had been turned on its head. It was an idea of rolling with the fact ‘no other group of people would have been so thoroughly abused as the blood elves’ or something like that, which is why they turned to draining magic and stuff from other sources, they had the addiction thing going on, monsters walking around but looking normal (AKA draining a god of its light), so on.
Obviously, I’m much more inclined to believe Metzen. The other theory feels like it’s just a bad take for the sake of trying to frame Blizzard in a bad light, but that’s just me.
Because “the light is gonna burn muh dark hands due to muh lore logics”
We don’t need any more elves. Geebus, let it go already. ![]()
Ah, I see, spurious from the start but genuinely old. I must confess I have a hard time not seeing that theory as somewhat non-sequitur. It’s not like elves are an asian thing, they’re an old norse thing and a tolkien thing, neither of which have any ties to asia.
You gotta change out of being an elf first to make this statment.
I’d say Void Elf deserve Pally Class but with a void themed spell. Like Fel Fire quest.
They are void Paladin instead of Light. (Same spells just Purple voidy effect)
I’d like to have a glyph that would stay holy animtipn for those who would like to stay as high elf function then
" i dont have imagination to RP as high elf with blood or void elf so I need completely new allied race "
Too many trolls these days to say “your game race still says void elf”
Something people always forget about this is the fact that there’s spell schools in this game, and spell schools mean something. Warlocks getting free fire still meant the fire spells were fire spells. A void elf paladin having void themed spells should mean it has shadow spell schools, which means kicking it on shadow would have bigger rammifcations, especially in the current game.
Why not just have Sanlayn paladins do blood style casting while Void Elves do dark cast but with a glyph, you become a holy light casters to toggle them off?
No, you’re misunderstanding me. In other words, it’d mess up people actually doing the spell lock outs. Spell schools mean something for both the people being kicked, and the people doing the interrupting. We shouldn’t be reskinning spells to different cosmic aspects and changing how spell lockouts work. It’s a bad idea.
Then dont rp with trolls lol
I know but i meant more in term of visual.
Fel fire is often Chaos type yet it stay fire for Lock quest things. So doesnt always have to fix everything just for a look
I kind of get you. But there are too many Nos from people and there are lack of yes to compromise. Which is why this conflicts to player base interests. I just think Blizzard is at the point of going to compromise to get it to work than say no to those who want em.
But again, I think this would have been much peace in our times if they just originally started with high elf. But whatever.
God I do miss FF14 sometimes where there are 0 class restrictions.
