"Just join a guild" is dumb and tone deaf

Why is it even a discussion of guilds vs. pugs?

Some people do both things and want pugging to be better even if they are doing guild runs also.

Exactly

Guild run on my main

Pug with my alts, because the guild doesn’t have enough runs to fit an alt in over a main.

It is currently the year of our Lord 2024 and this meme is still kickin it.
What a time to be alive.

To the OP - joining a guild could be a solution for some of the adverse issues folk are stating they are experiencing. It’s not tone deaf. It’s just an option and a legit one.
Also just say you want gdkp - fly your flag not this post this subterfuge.

Necroing this thread because it relates completely to 2 lockouts a week and the idea of Committed vs Uncommitted play.

This is wrong. Multiplayer in a massively multiplayer online game is the norm, by definition. Especially for WoW Classic. I understand that over time, Retail eventually catered more to single player than to multiplayer, but this isn’t true of the original game, nor its derivatives like SoD.

I am sorry, but if you don’t like multiplayer, you should probably play another game.

You don’t understand my post, do you?

you can still want to play the game with people but not be in a guild with a bunch of annoying perpetually online neckbeards

I hear Skyrim is still popular.

The fact that this is your default view of other people says a lot. Your problem isn’t with WoW, it is personal. If you don’t like interacting with people, a multi-player game is not a good option.

Projecting hard there.

If everywhere you go smells like poop.

did you not read or intentionally misquote me?

try harder next time

Classic Andy’s are people?

So don’t be in a guild with those kinds of people? It’s not like anyone is putting a gun to your head saying “Hey! You need to be in THIS guild and only this guild!”

Amazing, this entire post is wrong.
