Just got tails 12 times in row with a benthic cloak

I run 8 toons and do all the weekly stuff and can tell you they are just mini loot boxes with 1% chance of getting what you want. If I had a nickel for every pair of boots and belts I have gotten since BFA launch I would be rich. I have gotten 8 of the same boots in a row with a loot table of all armor with these gamble boxes.

Only to ignorant people who’ve never simmed anything.

It’s a boring stat. Not a bad stat.

Player time is all they want now go out there and get your pearls.

Pretty much, I think that combined with random stats.

Just there to be the consolation prize.

Find it really interesting they took away full mat refunds on crafted gear with random stats.

Ooooooopps,

Did you know they can keep rolling until they get the stats they want without having to go raid for another 4 weeks?

Got to fix that!!!

Depends on you class, and what the best stats for your build are… but vers isnt the best for hunters… on the other hand it is good for my shaman who shares Mail with hunters so maybe blizz is splitting the difference

Yeah sounds like an easy way out.

I don’t think its that low. I got all haste gear on my ret the second day, outside of the belt, which apparently doesn’t come with hast, and the bracers, because i haven’t tried for either, since they are already 400ilvl. It may not be 25% or 33%, or a 50/50 chance, but 1% is ridiculously low to suggest. My luck isn’t that good, since i spent all my luck points in vanilla getting t1 and t2 quickly lol.

So ignorant. Why am I getting stats on gear that are outside my spec choice?

Don’t know that it helps, but I make a /roll macro and spam it a few hundred times off by myself so it doesn’t fill up all peoples chat.

That way I keep hoping I wear out the RNG generation.

Still very unenjoyable, but I used to even carry one of those rabbit’s feet cause I was convinced in vanilla it improved the occasional green drop off a mob.

Sorry ya didn’t get what ya would have actually enjoyed and benefited from.

I’d say good luck, but rng sucks and always will IMHO

This… most generators use some sort of time slice in order to generate their randomness. A guess of mine is that stats are determined on the click, so if you’re not getting the stats you want wait an hour or so before you click again.

It’s worth a shot at least. And OP I do agree with you in that they need more randomness in their RNG routines.

Versatility isn’t outside your spec choice. It’s not outside of anyones spec choice. Loot Spec has never changed what stats the gear has but what type of gear you receive.

All loot spec does now is change what weapons/trinkets you receive.

Most of us aren’t the whale gambling addicts these systems are intended to entrap.

Whale gambling?

My mistweaver monk kept getting

What healer ever wants increased threat on their gear?

I got the hunter one.

Speaking of, is one of my gear slots or something causing a fan of knives from me? I cant see an effect on my benthic gear thatd cause that unless Im missing something.

Something is causing a fan of knives like effect. Lately, I’ve seen mages get into melee range to trigger it.

It’s sims a few tenths behind mastery for me at this point in my gear.

While I’m not a fan of RNG, you mean to say that you got the EXACT same cloak 12 times in a row? Or do you mean you got 12 random cloaks but without the stats you wanted.

My priest got that cloak the first time I got a cloak token (from a quest, no less). And i-level is king with Holy, if that helps.

By filler do you mean some specs best stat? (like WW)

Also secondary stats have never changed based on spec.

The gear is largely garbage if you been doing the previous content for the past year. The vendor gear is meant for those that for whatever reasons chose to come back to the game. I have bought a few pieces, lucky I got the cloak to interact with the murlocs.

I have no plans of purchasing anymore gear, unless of course it is to funnel to an alt that I level. Which is from an ilvl perspective better than the 370 crafted gear. Which I have no idea who brain was not thinking when they made based crafted gear a lower level than the vendor gear from the start.

There is no rhythm or reason to this content and what is offer or provided to the player that has been playing the game since the expansion dropped. This another of the endless problems with the catch up system in this game. The fact that people that largely been playing from the beginning of the expansion either by the crap vendor gear and boost its level or they simply wait for the next season content to open up so they can content to gear up properly. There is never an in between.

At least the scrapper will be very useful from the standpoint of creating necessary mats for various professions. Especially when the manapearls become usless in about a month or so.

No, there’s 4 cloaks. Two come with crit/haste, the other two come with something else.

So the assumption would be 50/50 you’d get a crit/haste, 2 out of 4. Basically a coin toss.

Added to that is you’re also rolling for a gem slot or bonus stats.

My suspicion is, they make BiS lists as well. They know our stat priorities, and Bad Luck Protection™ is really more of a prescribed experience that only gives you something on their BiS on a set schedule.
