Regardless of how safe/unsafe it is, I feel like continuing to wear a mask and keeping your distance from others isn’t a huge ask, even if it’s just for the sake of giving the people who don’t know your medical history some peace of mind while you walk through a store.
Where I live, the grocers and clerks are just now starting to get access, and they’ve been working through the entire pandemic. Different rules in different places, I suppose.

It’s the funniest when someone internet armchair experts offer their opinions on things that only a few thousand people on the planet (at best) are qualified to talk about, like rocket engine design and spaceflight. Or worse, some internet “personality” with a platform and zero qualifications shares his opinion which gets parroted ad infinitum by internet randos.

CDC lost its cred on covid during this pandemic. It’s probably going to take another health crisis for even the chance of fully recovering it.
It’s interesting that studies have shown ~80% efficacy two weeks after the first shot of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. But over the weekend the CDC told Michigan’s governor it takes months to get fully immunized as why the federal government should not rush more vaccine to hot spot states like Michigan.
When there’s a fire to be put out, you use the water you have available. Even if the water available is 80% of what is actually needed. You don’t just let the fire burn.
I’m curious how this topic survived its flag considering it’s completely unrelated to WoW.

I’ll probably wait awhile for it. One of them has had some blood clotting side effects, and I have a blood clotting issue that’s relatively rare. Just don’t know how they will react if it’s dealing with my blood, and I’m sure they haven’t researched that interaction yet
I’m really glad the vaccines are finally ramping up tho. Hopefully it’ll all be over by the end of the year, or sooner (hopefully much sooner)

I couldn’t sleep at all for like 3 days while being dead tired. I think I am finally getting off of the effects now. (Had Pfitzer)

AstraZeneca is the one getting some bad flak right now for the blood clotting. I had my first Moderna and I wanted to cut my arm off with a dull chainsaw for a couple days. So not looking forward to the second.
If you do get fully vaccinated, ignore the people who say to continue living as if you never had it. That’s ridiculous, goes against current guidance and completely runs afoul of the purpose of a vax in the first place.

Just prior to the vaccine you are asked if you have any clotting issues.
I do not so I don’t know where it goes from there.

i thought Johnson and Johnson was just one shot, why not just go that route?
I had almost no reaction to my first Moderna dose, so when I got really sick last February, it might have been Covid. It was before Covid was common knowledge.
It is the realm of correct.
You can still get COVID even with the vaccine. Even if you got no symptoms.
You can still be a carrier.
You can still infect high-risk groups quite easily.
You should still avoid public places as much as possible.
So yes, you should continue washing hands. You should continue wearing masks in public places, even if your state dropped the requirement and opened everything up. We already had 2nd and 3rd waves and soon 4th one is to follow right behind.
CDC guidelines say that you can be in private settings w/o mask, aka your friends. You should still wear a mask around high-risk group as you can still be a carrier. All it said, new, that once you get your COVID “passport”, you won’t have to quarantine for 2 weeks.
So which part is not within your “realm of correct”? So far, you’ve proved my original point by sharing the CDC pdf.
