Welcome to WoW. Your not allowed to be “new” at anything, your either pro or kicked. Its very toxic indeed…just stick to dps. Less drama.
I got kicked in a leveling dungeon the other day for not kicking when I was kicking if it makes you feel better…Tank said “not kicking makes me kick” then he booted me right away. First time ive been booted in any game. I actually just laughed and went about my day. It was pretty absurd with multiple classes with interrupts I got blamed and I was the only one doing it.
When leveling as a healer i never got kicked out of a group, even with half-afk watching netflix on the other screen and just keeping the group up.
Well just know that not all players are like that. People act like that in LFG because they know they can get away with it. My husband does the same thing as healer and we get through dungeons just fine. If you ever roll horde we would be more than happy to run with you. Good luck hope it gets better
Dont let them get you down, there are sad, angry people like that in all parts of life. Find some chill people to dungeon with on your server and you will have a great time!
People say this then wonder why others don’t heal or tank.
Disc is unique in that it has to primarily dps to heal, after using an ability that places atonement on whoever needs healing.
It could be as small as a difference in playstyle, or as large as the tank needing to use all his defensive skills and potions just to stay in what he considers a safe range.
Personally when I tank if my hp is hovering under 50% for large amounts of time I would be concerned as if there are any hard hitting tank buster skills I could be dead before I can pop a CD, if I am under 50 and have no CDs or RP I am going to be very worried about my healers ability.
You don’t have to keep people fully topped up but unless you are known to each other or on comms it is hard for the tank to know what you are doing.
Did you use any healing CDs? Or where you waiting for him to drop lower than 40% for it?
You are a dk, you are the last tank that should be worried for dipping under 50%.
Were you “kicked” or just "removed? The linked picture says “removed”.
Kicking requires 3 of the 5 players to agree. Not-counting you, that is 3 of the 4 players. Removing just requires the group leader. In the linked post, the leader changes just before you are removed. Kicking doesn’t need a leader change.
This looks like a removal, not a kick.
True but if I am the only one healing myself why do we have a healer in the group? Could just grab another dps and clear faster.
The point of the healer is to supplement the tanks active mitigation abilities so that cooldowns can be saved for damage spikes not routine trash pulls (some pulls do require CDs)
I’ve seen a lot of posts in here saying to focus on the healing first then worry about DPS… and we’ll if you were playing literally any other healing spec, I’d be inclined to agree… but since you were playing Disc… these responses pretty much just highlight a problem within the community and possibly why you were kicked as well…
a surprisingly high number of players simply don’t understand how discipline priest works… so many out there think that it’s just about putting up shields and preventing damage before it happens… but that’s not disciplines forte… while yes, it does provide a fair amount of damage prevention, it is designed specifically to heal through DPS… you HAVE to DPS as disc… otherwise your just spamming Shadow Mend and burning through your mana so fast it’s not even funny…
The problem with Disc though, is early game their healing is bad… I’m not going to sugar cost it… at low levels your Attonement heals are barely enough to scrape by with a tank who actively uses their CDs on a regular basis. A tank who “forgets” that they have any defensive CDs until they are about to die is an absolute nightmare to heal as discipline… with them you are pretty much forced to use Shadow Mend as your primary heal instead of Attonement… your mana will always be depleted after every pull because of that, and if the tank chain pulls too then things are going to go from bad to worse very fast.
Best thing to do is announce your new to discipline at the start of a dungeon and with any luck the tank will play smart.
This is why people don’t want to heal pugs. Really. Find friends and heal them; honestly, add me. I know people who might want to play. Dreta#11144
I pretty much only roll as a healer any group content I play.
Leveling characters is a good past time for me, and I like to roll healing specs.
I have wiped groups, and stated I was sorry learning the class/spec etc. Most are understanding.
I have honestly been kicked only a few times, most recently I left a group because the raid assistant was a D. Whispering me about not healing, they have big D Dps, and I’m making them wipe.
He told me to bring my numbers up, lol when I was out healing him by a significant amount.
People are salty, any LFR/PUG takes the risk. People can get mad or annoyed for stupid things that they believe is important.
Kick you? No problem, water off a ducks back… Your a healer you don’t wait long in LFR. Roll another.
And remember that group had to wait for another healer.
Hmm. Sometimes you will get bad Pick - up groups.
Rarely you may get a good Pick-up group.
Far more common, you will get a Pick-up group that will not say a single word, try to rush through as fast as possible, and disappear without a “ty” or “gg” as soon as the final boss drops loot.
Let folks you enjoyed playing with know that they impressed you. build a bond with players you enjoy the game with.
Forget the haters, they are ubiquitous.
Play what you like and how you like.
Unless you are for some treason trying to impress someone else, then you may have to play what and how they want you to play.
Have fun.
It’s pretty clear that the tank is asking for heal in your previous chat.
You also keep telling everyone in every thread that you’re a new healer, dude you play since 2016, stop with your victimhood.
Yes and I constantly kept quitting before I even hit level 100 on any single character because of stuff like this.
Unless this low achievement # is meant to be something to be proud of. I highly doubt it is though.
I levelled as a disc priest and never ran into any issues
Obviously we can’t see what happened in that group but we have nothing to go off so you must have been doing something wrong
Healing on Disc in low dungeons can be pretty rough as you don’t have access to your full spellbook of damage reduction and the like, and I tend to notice Tanks get really nervous if their health drops around 65%.
I’m thinking the Tank MAY not understand how Discipline works, as your only 2 immediate heals are either Shadow Heal (which is expensive) or Penance (which has a pretty lengthy cooldown).
IDK the full context, but don’t let it dissuade you from trying it
Dude you have a Vulpera stop lying.
You’re a well known troll posting alot of bait threads, i don’t know if you get enough attention in your life but what you’re doing now is just pathetic.
