Just Got Kicked For No Reason Whatsoever

Sure, but I agree with others that the harsh 30 minute punishment should be adjusted or removed entirely. Getting thicker skin and moving on is one thing. Not being able to play is another.

The go-to of the intellectually disadvantaged - just call the other person a narcissist.

It’s easy to see now that you’re not worth talking to.

This has been mentioned a number of times. Every kick is recorded in a db and they keep a running total. As far as how they decide what constitutes abuse of the function isn’t something they ever elaborate on.

Good day to you.

I live that daily.

The debuff does suck, but sadly I don’t think Blizz would be able to filter out. The debuff is used to punish players who abandon, or cause issues in dungeons. Sort of like a time out.

You just gotta shrug, go find something to do for 30 minutes and try again. Being an adult is hard for some people I know but we’re all capable.

Sure, but the same can be achieved with systems that adopt escalation methods. League of Legends, as I’ve mentioned before, gives you a punishment that worsens over time. The initial punishment serves as a time out, but gets worse for those who continue to act on that negative behavior. That makes perfect, logical sense to me. It’s better designed to punish those who are really deserving of it.

30 minutes may be justifiable in some cases, but to have the same harsh punishment for all? Eh…

And I bet there are innocent ones who get caught in the crossfire.

What is good for the goose isn’t always good for the gander. 30 minutes is kind. It’s not hard to kill 30 minutes. I’ve scrolled on Tiktok longer than 30 minutes before.

Yeah, in fact they’ve been whining about it on the forums for three hours. That’s SIX debuffs!

Situationally, that is true.

Subjective. I think 30 minutes is harsh, not kind. At least as a baseline punishment.

Unjust kicks do happen every now and then, but based on personal experience, there’s usually a reason. We just might not know what that reason is. Usually, it’s obvious enough though. I’m not saying that you’re lying, but I am saying we don’t have the full story. That makes me skeptical by default, which is not personal in any way.

I think that’s fair. For the most part, I hold that same opinion and I don’t blame you for being skeptical. I don’t take that personally. Getting labeled out of bias is what frustrates me, not skepticism.

You can still be skeptical and give someone else the benefit of the doubt, as well as provide constructive feedback.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Get some coffee, check your auctions and try again in a bit. That’s what I usually do. Don’t take it personally.

If it was an unjust kick, I would just shrug it off and move on with your day. Chances are you dodged a bullet, so to speak.

keep an eye on their joke comments…sooner or later they’ll end up admitting that THEY kick for no good reason…while insisting YOU are lying and arent telling the whole story lmao
They’ll literally rat themselves out as being the bogus kickers if you keep them railing on long enough :+1:

Exactly…and as long as blizzard takes the “its ok to abuse other players because the TOOL cant be abused” crap…it’ll keep going on unpunished

Sometimes things just happen. Seems like you got trolled. But not to worry, the “working as intended / nothing to see or fix here” crowd should be along soon if they are not already here.

Sure. I can and probably will do just this.

I’ve also just recognized that there can and should be adjustments made to the system, especially reading what others have experienced as well.
