Well, night elves are just about dead now, wine elves were busy getting drunk and making babies in their bubble.
Void elves are a tiny fraction that shouldn’t have existed anyways.
We need less elves, combine them all into the lost elf tribes in shadowlands.

“Lore reasons”
Every time I see this the poster conveniently leaves out the Silver Covenant, Quel’danil Lodge, Allerian Stronghold, and other scattered high elves featured throughout content.
The Silver Covenant is a major military force featured in Wrath of the Lich King, Mists of Pandaria, and Legion.
They march on the Throne of Thunder. They march on Suramar.
You don’t know the lore you’re referencing. If you want to make the “integrity” argument, sure. But the lore one is objectively false.

We’ve been told many times that it will not be happening. So why are you bringing it up yet again?

Oh boy, your post exactly translates too, “we need less fantasy races in a fantasy game”

Anything from Ardenweald made playable on either faction would make me so happy. I can’t express the sheer amount of love I have for the aesthetics and visuals of that zone!
There are “lore reasons” to NOT give the Alliance a second Elf race of the same race they already have. Did Blizzard screw up with Void Elves? Absolutely. They should have been from the Silver Covenant this entire time. There are currently three flavors of “High Elf” in the game and two are playable.
I’m very well aware of the existence of the fringe groups of High Elves. But at this time, Blizzard has said no, and the people who continue to argue and fight for it are showing that they will not be happy with anything short of a pink Elf with blue eyes.
So that’s why, to make it easier and not use up a race spot for Alliance players, I said to give Void Elves pink/normal skin options and playable as Paladins. That gives you the pink skin, blue eyed Elves you so desperately want. And a way to improve the Void Elf lore would be to have them reconnect with their Silver Covenant allies.
Alliance need something interesting, not the third flavor of Elf.

Alliance aren’t getting High Elves because from a lore perspective, High Elves ARE Blood Elves, the latter just sucked on a demon’s teet to get their green eyes. Coincidentally, those with yellow eyes drank a lot holy sunny D. Turns out Elves kind of evolve based on the magical energy they’re cycling through their bodies… or aren’t.
From a design perspective, Alliance have the blue anorexic Elves, while Horde have the red anorexic Elves. Saturation of color may vary.
If we’re to see anything resembling high elves alliance side, it will be Void elves with human skin and hair color options, or Night Elves with human skin and hair color options.
I guarantee you the Void Elf variant will be corrupted in some way to make it clear they’re still Void Elves. Night Elves don’t need a corrupting effect though, because the closest model to them, the Nightborne, are still a far cry from matching their silhouette or coloration.

if they gave velves peach skin/blonde hair and let them be void pallies that would also work, i think. or make nelf pallies a thing. there were a couple in the pally class hall in legion! that’s one fantasy that the horde has that the alliance needs. an elfadin. XD

No, this is entirely incorrect. Blood Elves =/= High Elves =/= Blood Elves.
Blood Elves stop being High Elves the day Kael’thas proclaimed them as the Sin’dorei in the Rise of the Blood Elves.

Fantasy races are fine, I’d like more than elf=fantasy.

That would let purple skin tentacle hair paladins be a thing, which is really weird? But Lightforged DKs are a thing. Shadow priests for Lightforged is weird too but eh.
Not trying to conter here but something to think of.

I think Night Elf Paladins have a more better chance at becoming a Playable Pally than the Void Elves to be honest.

Genetically, they’re Blood Elves. We’re picking races, not sub-factions within either the Horde or Alliance. Stop grasping for straws. You ain’t winning this one.

Since Wrath certain blue eyed High Elves were already allowed in silvermoon.

You can rename your race all you want, it doesn’t warrant you a new race. So yeah, this. All it does is make you a new group of said race.

Night elf paladins are in game (at least one) and we can call void elf paladins riftblades and give them purple light effects.
Done and done.

Sorry, but I don’t want more “interesting” options like overweight humans, gnome amputees, or whatever. I want the High Elves from the lore and not their OCs thrown to us like bones. The reasons you’re citing are not lore reasons. If you want to say that they shouldn’t add more elves, that is not a lore reason, but it’s an argument of its own. Probably more merit than “lore”. And the problem is it falls apart in the face of the fact that races are added to the game to be played. There is no point in making something “interesting” that does not get played as much. Kul Tirans and Mechagnomes before High Elves is a poor decision. You say “use up a spot” but I say races struggling to break 5% representation are a waste. Silver Covenant High Elves with traditional aesthetics would blow that out of the water and restore much needed life to the Alliance.
