Yep… Ion got booed when he announced that Pathfinger would be inflicted on Shadow Lands
That and for some reason, despite people cheering at the announcement of no AP system, they still wanted to try and defend it.
I just hate naz in current form. So i don’t run it.
But I don’t whine on it.
I will wait till 9.0 and 1 shot it when level 60.
I don’t mind the walk to wq’s to do cache runs. Then I go back to legion since more content there to keep me happy
Order halls and alt addiction…always for something to do when your have so many classes to do.
Rest of this…yeah…they are putting counters to flying like they did in the past.
I learned the hard way. Wrath has ways to ground your butt real fast first time there.

The design you think is bad is not bad to the rest of us. Your idea of good design is bad design to others. Welcome to the world of subjectivity.
Thanks but no thanks. Pathfinder serves a purpose and many of us understand why it’s here.
You’ve said they don’t listen to the players many times. Which is it? Do they listen and want the complaints to stop or do they not listen? Because if they don’t listen then they don’t care about your complaints.
You will be happy. Speak for yourself.
Beautiful in looks, ABYSMAL in design. Have you tried navigating Highmountain, Broken Shore, Voldun, Nazjatar without flying? It felt like grinding my teeth on cement.
Beautiful in looks, ABYSMAL in design.
Very subjective.
The majority of responses to people asking for improvements saying “the status quo is fine” come from the same players. If you don’t like reading these threads your eyes come with a built in feature that allow you not to do that, which you should use.
. Have you tried navigating Highmountain, Broken Shore, Voldun, Nazjatar without flying?
It was pretty easy once I finished the zones for the first time.
The majority of responses to people asking for improvements saying “the status quo is fine” come from the same players.
So 2 sides to the argument, and more or less the far ends of it. What about that middle ground, those that like that Blizzard is doing something to try and make flight dangerous but also recognize things, like the range from the worm for the debuff, need changed/adjusted?
This is the real issue with the forums, aside from the fact it is a fraction of a fraction of the player base, There are those that just want improvements, but people lump them in with those just complaining in order to complain, there are those that try to say the status quo is not fine but things are not as bad as people make them out to be yet they get lumped in with the “white knights”.
I find the solution, barring just bad ideas, is often someplace in the middle yet that middle is hard to find due to the loudmouth extreme ends of both sides.
Ion got booed when he announced that Pathfinger would be inflicted on Shadow Lands
not only booed, but booed by the <…> that paid way too much money to attend their propaganda fest in person. getting booed by the “loyal faithful” in your own house should have told him something. but alas…
and I highly doubt it’ll lose 99% of it’s current playerbase, or that it’ll not gain more out of this.
Cue WoD sub decline because of flight removal
The majority of responses to people asking for improvements saying “the status quo is fine” come from the same players. If you don’t like reading these threads your eyes come with a built in feature that allow you not to do that, which you should use
But if they simply ignore them then the possibility of being heard by Blizzard increases
You know it’s funny how they keep saying were the ones acting like spoiled children when the truth is this issue wouldve NEVER happened if Blizzard had simply done thier job and stops trying to tell us how we should spend our time playing
After all mature adults ignore things they don’t have any interest but loyal fans speak up when they feel change is necessary
Seems to me those wanting others silenced in this matter are the ones behaving like children and all because they don’t want Blizzard to actually address this issue
It wouldn’t be difficult for the developers to engage with the more reasonable posts, but it is easier for them and protects their fragile egos to point to the hysterical posts and use them as an excuse to stay off the forums. This also lets them pretend like they’re victims, when in fact they’re just not doing their job.
Yeah, they can always rationalize it away. What it comes down to is that their ego writes checks that their game design can’t cash. But to admit that would require a level of emotional stability and maturity that the developers and their professional representatives haven’t been demonstrating lately.
Seems to me those wanting others silenced
I don’t think many actually want people to be silenced, but then there are quite a few that seem to think doing nothing but trashing Blizzard is the way to get them to change things. I see issues that need to be addressed, but I try to point out aspects that are fine the way they are, aspects that need tweaked, aspects that need overhauled, and aspects that need to just be flat out removed.
Pathfinder is likely here to stay, but we should still get an option to unlock flight for gold at max level with PF the account wide option. This might mean that the cost for flight needs to be high enough that it would be a decent gold sink per character but not so much that pathfinder is more or less forced.
It wouldn’t be difficult for the developers to engage with the more reasonable posts,
Agreed, hence one of my goals is to try and reduce the hysterical posts and increase the reasonable ones. But that seems a pipe dream due to how many seem to think the hysterical post seems to be the way to go.
If it was common knowledge that making a reasonable post would likely get your issue addressed, either in a weekly/monthly roundup or even directly with a response when appropriate, there would be more of that. Most of the “reasonable” people have given up on the forums, and so what is left increasingly is the people who are just desperate to save a hobby that they enjoy, and that is being destroyed for no good reason other than to satisfy the arrogant egos of a few mishires in the dev leadership.
Most of the “reasonable” people have given up on the forums,
So even you admit there are still a few reasonable people left, but reasonable or not we are also human with similar desires, the main difference might be how we want to go about saving that which we enjoy. But being human also means we have the biases, the emotions, etc. as every one else
Y’all do. My brain is wired differently. Most humans have trouble accepting this so I won’t belabor the point or even bring it up again.
It wouldn’t be difficult for the developers to engage with the more reasonable posts, but it is easier for them and protects their fragile egos to point to the hysterical posts and use them as an excuse to stay off the forums. This also lets them pretend like they’re victims, when in fact they’re just not doing their job
That’s the funny thing Blizzard said years ago they were going to work on improved communication efforts but yet were still waiting for it but yet you notice theres quite a bit of communication on social media sites while they are absent from their official forums
So where’s the improved communications they claimed? Blizzard wonders why theyre constantly met with more and more skepticism recently over what they say and do maybe they should try and spend more times on the Blizzard forums speaking to the players instead of hiding out on their social media accounts where its easy to ignore people that they choose not to want to speak to
The game will not die because of the lack of flying…
