Josh Greenfield on GDKPs in recent interview

well at least you are consistent then

i played runescape before the grand exchange came out(auction house) and the real SOCIAL structure of trading was 100% better in every way

Not at all, since I only post on this character.

Yet everyday a new thread titled something like “The GDKP ban has failed!” is made by a character with 0 posts. Quite obvious what’s going on.

Same as I was before the ban.

I didn’t do sod gdkps anyway, they were like 8g payouts.

So nothing has changed, i still do wotlk classic gdkps and take that payout and trade it for sod gold just like I did in phase 1.

You mean neckbeards? Neckbeards make this game what it is?

That actually explains quite a lot.

your incoming ban will be justified then when you inevitably trade across game versions with a goldbuyer

Wrong the WoW token doesnt do as much as people think. Because you can buy a token with gold and you can get gold for a token at $5 from a 3rd party. So pay blizzard $15 a month or pay a 3rd party $5 a month. A lot of subs are free now when they shot themselves in the foot with the WoW Token. Good in theory, but it just drove gold farmers to work harder and offer gold at lower prices to beat the WoW token. Blizzard just needs to police their ToS better instead of punishing the player base for them sucking at their jobs.

“I can’t figure out how you would launder a digital currency… seems like it was an auto response more than anything”

I suspect that the GDKP ban was largely based on reddit/X/forum complainers more than purpose driven. It’s why Greenfield uses padding words like it given us the opportunity to crack down on things a little bit more easily. What does that even mean? 10%? 5%? 0.5%?

Even his next sentence doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense. Greenfield: “Not just gold selling and botting but gold buying”. Wouldn’t you always ban both the gold seller and buyer in a transaction lol?

What about gold buyers? I have reported guildies+irl friends who buy gold weekly and they have not been banned. Sure it’s a scummy move on my end to report friends for breaking ToS and I only did it bc they trash talk me about RMT but at the end of the day this is a huge problem. These players should be suspended and gold removed. Blizz doesn’t care at all about RMT they’re just doing PR moves rn

Facts rofl. Blizzard is straight up just doing PR thats it, nothing more, nothing less. People are blind and delusional

Yes it didn’t make much sense.

It more seemed like he wanted to say something positive so it looked better.

The truth is rmt and bots are no different with gdkps banned.

Naw.

How can I know if they have bad gold?

The botting problem seems worse after the GDKP ban but I’m sure they’ll spin it as “because of the GDKP ban we’ve banned a record number of bots!” (LOL)

We’re gonna need a bigger boat

you can’t and that’s the beauty of it

the truth is all gdkpers are botters and goldbuyers, see i can make up some wildly nonsensical claim as well

Delusional cope.

They didn’t crack down on gold buying before GDKP was even a thing. They don’t police their own Terms of Service and that is what the problem is. Banning GDKP was attacking a symptom rather than the root cause which is RMT.

how mald are you 1-10

It’s all your side does anyway.
