We’re running a limited-time test beginning today through Friday, October 17 of the new Housing feature on the 11.2.7 Public Test Realm (PTR) for anyone who wants to participate. You won’t need to have Midnight on your account to take part, however. It’s important to note that this test is for an in-progress feature and we may either periodically take down this test or cancel it at any point in time as necessary.

At the moment there are no plans to extend this specific test. But if we feel we need more testing done, we’ll be sure to provide an update with the details.

I’m only seeing a tab for Alpha servers and a tab for Beta servers, all say incompatible. I don’t see any PTR servers. Am I doing something wrong?

There was an update to the 11.2.7 PTR right before it launched–make sure that’s up to date! You might need to restart the battle.net client if you didn’t update.

Just learned that you have to create a PTR account. Log in to your Battle.net account, go to your account settings, then Games, scroll to the bottom, create a Public Test Realm (PTR) account. Then open 11.2.7 PTR on the launcher and it should work.

Even if you could log in the portal for housing is so stuffed you couldn’t LOAD in(which is where my timerunner copied over is stuck)
It’s extremely disappointing to open the test without giving any heads-up and then limit it to one day. Right now it’s difficult to do anything because the servers are under so much pressure. Managed to get into the housing zone after several tries, but also dc’d two times and now I can’t get back in.
It’s especially frustrating as a EU player, because here it’s after 9 PM and most people have to go to bed soon and then go to work.
I second, third, or fourth this statement. It’s rather absurd that the test was delayed, probably for a good reason since I can’t seem to remain connected to the PTR longer than a minute before getting disconnected due to the amount of people trying to test.
I’ve done this and it’s still the same issue
Limiting the testing to 1 day now, I get that it is a test, instead of the three, after a long silent period about the aborted start of said test, is a bad move, especially when said test right now is more like a server stress test full of nothing responding and disconnects.
You really need all the wins you can get right now, having the test for the three days it was planned for, scheduling another for weekdays if the weekend is the problem somehow, something would be a win here.
I’d say so far the test failed as 30 seconds in the neighborhood to 2 mins max before a disconnect is pretty bad right now.

I think I love it? But I have given up from the DCs. It looks gorgeous, though. No NPCs, no plots, no skills work, but I managed to get halfway across the map before disconnecting once and it looked good.
i managed to get to a plot, get the sign to respond, hit the buy and then nothing, disconnect, now im in a endless loop of logging back in and removing the action bar six , when i can get back in
