Out of all of the AR’s you have introduced having Jinyu/ Hozen is the most logical considering they joined the Alli/ Horde during MoP.
By that logic, Wildhammer/Dragonmaw officially joined an expansion earlier. And they’d take less effort.
I don’t think Hozen will really work. They seem a bit small and too animal-like.
I’d love to see the Jinyu as an allied race though.
As long as they didn’t have to butcher the hozen model, i’d love to have them. Otherwise Mogu because they already have draenei base…
Jinyu are a hell yes though, we’re even meeting more of them who also ally with the alliance
I would love to play a Wildhammer Dwarf. You have my support!
If we want to get super technical, and do WoW’s version of Godwinning a thread, Ogres/High Elves have been a part of our factions since release.
What about Forest Trolls? They joined the Horde in WC2 and some (the Revantusk) never left. Plus, they’d make a better foil to the Wildhammer considering they both consider the Hinterlands to be theirs.
I would really like Jinyu! We Get a Reputation for a new Jinyu tribe in 8.2 too Hope they become an AR someday, not just the Ankoan but the Pearlfin too
That’s debatable. They joined the Old Horde. Thrall’s New Horde was a few Orcish escapees scraping together an alliance of other races, namely jungle troll islanders, wyverns and the Tauren, with nary a green troll in sight.
It’s a distinction that the writers seem to overlook, but it’s never been dealt with head on.
Well, the Ankoans are coming!
If Gilgoblins become a thing, it is only logical that Ankoans will too, since they will both be the faction-specific reputations.
The Revantusk still consider themselves Horde.
They do, yes. But should they? Why do they consider themselves to be part of an organization founded on a hitherto unknown continent?
It strikes me as an overlooked plot hole - a writer that vaguely remembered forest trolls in the Horde, but failed to recall the history that has transpired.
The Horde wasn’t founded on Kalimdor. Thrall found the Darkspear on the islands and the Tauren on Kalimdor but its true origins are still on Draenor. If Thrall wanted his Horde to be considered entirely separate from the old Horde he wouldn’t have gone out of his way to honor heroes of the old Horde.
That aside, they’ve got more reason to consider themselves Horde than others, such as the Forsaken and the BEs. The Forsaken didn’t exist as an independent entity until late WC3:TFT. The BEs had been actively at war with the Horde in WC2. Of the three, the Revantusk have the most friendly history with the Horde.
Apparently there are female Ankoan voices in the files, but at the moment only male Ankoans seen. It could be that female Ankoan will show up later.
Note: I haven’t confirmed this myself. It may turn out to be false, but I am hoping it isn’t.
Nice, I hope it’s for real too!
If we don’t get Ankoans this expansion (Because I REALLY need a less bulky Alliance shaman race), I’m gonna flip a table. Not my table, but a table.
I can only find a few littered references to the existence of these files on MMOchamp. It’d be great if this were true, but there are a few possibilities here.
If these voice files aren’t tied to any NPC codes, then it could mean that a female model is in development.
Alternatively, these voice files may just be utilized like the sethrak and the 7.3 Ethereals are; tied to models that are androgynous to denote gender without having to develop a separate model at all.
Obviously, I’m hoping for the former.
