Jan 12 Fury Hotfix Update and Suggestions

It’s your button of last resort. It’s not supposed to feel amazing to use. But you’re still hitting a button, which is what makes Fury different from Arms or other specs with empty GCDs where you’re just sitting there waiting for resource to passively generate or cooldowns to cycle. And that’s exactly why many of us love Fury and have stuck with it in Shadowlands, despite the poor tuning. We come to it because you are always hitting a button, even if it’s as low priority as WW.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Fury playstyle. It’s a BLAST, and the most fun I’ve had playing a class since I first started playing. But when you compare how it feels when you’re in a condemn window to how it feels when you’re not (in single target), it feels so bland. It takes way too long to generate enough rage to use rampage.

I’m not even complaining about balance. I’m not raiding or pushing Mythic+, and I do just fine in the damage meters. I just hate that 30 second or so window on a boss fight where I feel like I’m doing nothing. I feel like they could tweak either the rage generation from Bloodthirst/Raging Blow, or the rage cost of Rampage, and it would go miles in making Fury feel better on single target fights.

I think you’re not really appreciating the entire point of the execute window.

Specs with an execute function are, ideally, balanced/tuned around that. You should feel weaker when you are unable to utilize it, that’s the main point. It allows for the ability to have actual power behind it, without breaking the spec.
