I think Sylvanas definitely has the motivation at this point. After Greymane broke her little god enslaving lantern thingy she is now probably in desperation mode.
So, I can see her maybe cutting a deal with an Old God for her immortality.

Assuming its Sylvannas then i bet soon the PC will be branded a traitor both by Anduin nd Sylvannas. It might be interesting being a persona non grata

Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path.
The lord of ravens will turn the key.
Khadgar, who can turn into a Raven, is searching for the Five Pillars of Creation to close the Portal. Perhaps the Old Gods are counting on this plan succeeding? After all, Diamond King is apparently working for the OGs, and it was Magni who told us about the Pillars of Creation.
Their quote does not mean that the Diamond King is working for the Old Gods. He doesn't have to be an Old God pawn, he just has to be a pawn. This fits with Magni as he is sort of a pawn of Azeroth.

Well being a pawn of the Old Gods doesn't mean he works for them either, just being used.
Either way, someone is using Magni.

Are you actually suggesting we are going to fight both a desperate Sylvanas and an Old God corrupted Anduin!?! Of course considering Anduin used Void Magic on that Dwarf in MoP there is a possibility that he could be corrupted.
Or you know, we ignore their ramblings. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time the Old Gods and their minions try and deceive us.

In Warcraft, I now just generally assume that everyone is secretly corrupted until objectively shown to be otherwise, because honestly, it has proven to be a pretty safe bet up to now.
Speaking of, you know who else really sets of my 'secret villain in waiting' alarm? Kahdgar.
He masterfully plays the part of the lovable buffoon, but I can see right through that facade...
How is that quote anything but a reference to the 'Heart' of Corruption and Ungoro 'Crater'?

Hey we're just discussing for fun. Well I am anywho.
Besides, the thing that says all of these things is a Manifestation of the Nightmare. I'm not convinced it needs to lie, or even can.

''Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it''
Well it could imply Un'goro... but that would be really lame. Plus, Il'gynoth isn't the heart of corruption, it's a manifestation of it.
...

That would be fun. Both Work together to undermine the PC. You are now wanted by both Alliance and Horde. Only your Class Hall believes in you and even they have some doubts
Anduin is a disc priest, so he uses both Light and Void magic....

I do live in a state of constant anxiety that Khadgar is going to break bad at some point during this expansion, be it willingly or not.
I mean make this relentlessly lovable and Good character and then rip him out of our hands in a very unexpected and devastating way.
Not to mention we'd lose one of our most powerful allies. Hell nope. Five keys and a raven lord? I'm stressin'.

"Her heart is a crater" could very well be either Sylvanas or Azshara.
The old gods do attempt to sow mistrust and paranoia, even if it is a reference to Jaina and not the next boss fight of the druid who was lead down a dark path because she believed she was betrayed by her allies, doesn't really mean he's telling the truth because they also say pretty clearly anduin is an old god servant as well. I would be interested to know how many people believe that about Anduin.
09/20/2016 08:22 PMPosted by MythelmDuring the Il'gynoth encounter, one of his whispers is "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it". Based on the usage of the word crater, referencing what current Theramore looks like, it is likely that Il'gynoth was talking about Jaina. After the Theramore bombing, the Sunreaver's betrayal, the Broken Shore, King Anduin choosing to not go to war with the Horde, and the Kirin Tor allowing the Horde back into Dalaran, Jaina felt mad, confused, and alone, which made her easy prey for the God of the Deep. Looks like Jaina is actually only a servant for N'Zoth and not a Dreadlord like some predicted, unless...
I gotta admit, I'm hard pressed to come up with someone who better fits/exemplifies that quote than Jaina Proudmoore.
Granted, I can do a little mental gymnastics and kind of figure out how that could maybe sort of relate to a few other female characters but it just fits Jaina too perfectly to be coincidence.
Blizzard may actually be making Jaina into an Raid Boss, the absolute madmen. At the very least her being a servant of the Old Gods is more interesting than her being a Dreadlord, in my opinion. We have enough incognito Dreadlords as is this expansion.
Apparently there's also a whisper that says "At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming."
This seems to refer to Sylvanas specifically.
Il'gynoth refers to a lot of characters, not just Jaina. You're jumping to a conclusion that Jaina is an Old God servant based on cryptic whispers. It could be that Il'gynoth is saying a bunch of stuff, only a few or one of which are true, or all are true, but we don't know yet.
I'm leaning towards the former. The whispers are there to make us wary about Sylvanas, Anduin/Wrathion, Jaina, Pillars of Creation, Magni, etc.

I'm betting it's the Dragon Aspects. The Old Gods have always gone out of their way to kill them or corrupt them. Only one key left...

Sylvanas has already died three times though, her next death would be the fourth.

Two, if it even means anything anymore since Aspect powers are gone. Kalecgos and Alexstrasza have not been corrupted by the Old Gods.
Besides, the Hour of Twilight was to happen upon the death of all Five aspects, but since the Aspects gave up their powers to kill Deathwing, that cannot happen anymore. ,

It seems Sylvannas will die (i assume Devs arent counting properly or not counting her 2nd (atop ICC) Death).
So her Death leads to the OG coming. This seems to imply that she is preventing/Trying to prevent the Arrival of the OGs
Sylvanas has already died three times though, her next death would be the fourth.
Could be figurative death. Death of the body, soul, and will. Recently any hope of the Forsaken procuring a future for themselves was taken away from her. Death of will.
Regardless, that wasn't my point. Il'gynoth says a lot of things that are vague and could apply to a lot of characters. Hopping on the "le jaina is corrupted xD" meme because of a vague whisper is as sound as my own hypothesis.
