Jaina Proudmoore committed unspeakable acts against blood elves,m

Let’s agree to disagree on this one. I don’t want to go down that road.

She’s to blame for “going all crazy”. Victims don’t get a pass to go crazy.

You know that insanity is an actual legal defense? And more importantly if we were to blame Jaina for this then I demand the Horde who did help Garrosh WILLINGLY only turning on him when Garrosh turn on them but put to trial/suffer true consequences as well.

You know that the law is actually not infallible?

Ok, demand them. Doesn’t bother me.

Well, we must consider that most settlements are mono-racial, which means any attempt to destroy or displace a settlement’s population by a different racial population is categorically Genocide.

So if the Kobolds ransacked Goldshire and burned it to the ground, it’s Genocide.

The basis for all conflict on Warcraft is Racism and Bigotry. So Blizzard telling Golden to bring in the big G word is an absolute redundancy that should hold no power over any argument on these forums.

I am not downplaying the seriousness and real-world history of the term and incidents, merely attempting to remind everyone that Warcraft is a fictional story where those terms simply don’t work when they serve as a descriptor for the entire basis of the game.

For Jaina Proudmoore, the purge of Dalaran was the single worst warcrime ever committed.

For a Horde character, such an act would be another tuesday.

Yes. Having said that if we disregard laws then this just becomes a question of morals and the Horde should be blamed for that considering they are the Frankenstien who created current Jaina.

Good. All I am hoping is Blizzard doesnt touch Jaina or if she does have to die it wont be because of the events of the Purge/wholely un related to it. Hell considering her age she might be one of the few that might just live and die to old age.

Jaina is an adult, she can be responsible for her actions.

I don’t particularly know where she’s headed. I doubt it’ll be due to the purge. It isn’t really lore relevant these days.

"No, I don’t. For you, the day the Horde visited your village, was the most important day of your story. But for me? It was 4g 30s 84c.

Not when she just went thought a traumatic event and was implied to not even be in her right state of mind. Hell that is the reasoning why we are now even given Sylvanas herself the chance to redeem herself.

Blizz seems to be severely allergic to doing that though with alliance characters though. Which has always been a really weird thing

Not a sufficient excuse for me.

I think everyone should have the chance for atonement. Not based on some criteria.

And its sufficient for me and clearly for Blizzard as well.

The funny thing about this is I can’t think of a single mainline horde quest where the PC has to get their hands dirty doing anything like walking into a shopkeeper’s home and gutting them because Alleria doesn’t think they support the SC enough. They’ve Indirectly done a lot of bad things, but very few as intentional as that.

I guess you could kill civilians intentionally in the now-removed WoT quests but that was wholly optional?

Not opinions I rate very highly.

Too bad, so sad.

For who?? Doesn’t impact me negatively.

We don’t typically pull the trigger, or crank the lever. We’re just standing nearby when it happens, powerless to stop it.

However, there is a quest in BFA where the Horde player is encouraged to slay the equivalent of a “Doctors Without Boarders” Pandaren who is just healing any wounded she can find. She just so happens to be healing a large number of Alliance soldiers, and so the Horde PC is sent to end her life. She pleads, and she tells the PC she feels sorry for them as they kill her.

That quest received a lot of hate, if you can imagine. I’ve thankfully never done it, and never will. But it was a quest to do.

Stonetalon is the quintessential Horde faction war experience to me. Having to race against time against a random evil leader and failing. Its not great, Blizzard should quit writing that story over and over again.

I’m glad I somehow missed out on doing that one.

Man, BFA sucked.

Extra funny was that Lady Liadrin gave this quest until they realized how dumb that was and patched her out for an orc called Deathmurder Bloodgouge or something. BfA was something else.
