It is also canon that they weren’t the people purged. Jaina didn’t even know who they were. Instead she lashed out based on the concept of racial guilt.

The people purged were in the same organization who did steal the bell. Maybe if Aethas has done his job and actually tried to vet his organization they wouldnt have been implicated in all of this. As it was Jaina could not have know who was or wasnt a traitor and considering how dangerous Dalaran’s many other artrifacts were I could understand why she would not want an organization that was still nominally loyal to the organization headed by Garrosh anywhere in Dalaran.

On this note, I dont think Lothermar ever did anything to the Sunreavers who did side with Garrosh.

The “organization” (there is no evidence of “Sunreavers” organizing anything, it was canonical Garrosh) didn’t steal the bell. Some people who happened to associated with the label “Sunreaver” stole the bell (maybe, I haven’t seen much about the people who did the actual theft). Nor is there anything that says that “Sunreaver” is anything more than a label applied to them. This is all just guilt by association. And association along racial lines.

This is no better than throwing Japanese-Americans into camps because of the “danger” of Japan.

I guess Jaina is all Kul Tiras now, Dalaran is so least expansion. I still find it sorta hilarious how quickly people got over a resentment large enough to write a song about how terrible she is that was repeated enough it became a widely known folksong.

Garrosh is dead, Aethas lost his job, and Sylvanas was sent to the Maw for all eternity aka super hell. That is much more consequences then Jaina or Vereesa will ever go through.

Thalen might get his comeuppance one day but Fanlyr was just a Reliquary mook doing a job under pain of death. That he spent the patch dealing with Garrosh was punishment enough.

The funny thing about this is I can’t think of a single mainline horde quest where the PC has to get their hands dirty doing anything like walking into a shopkeeper’s home and gutting them because Alleria doesn’t think they support the SC enough. They’ve Indirectly done a lot of bad things, but very few as intentional as that.

I guess you could kill civilians intentionally in the now-removed WoT quests but that was wholly optional?

Old Hillsbrad Foothills. The Horde player basically butchers an entire village of farmers more of less minding their own business, over multiple quests.

There’s a couple other Forsaken quests of dubious morality with noncombatant targets. That’s the big one though.
