My thoughts as well. I mean he is the true Lich King, so looking the part makes a lot of sense.

Lich king armor desing, It was even more different, now wanting to look like a Mawsworn that we already killed in any part of the maw or Thorgast, and incidentally be the king, we already have that Blizzard did not learn from the LotR disaster of N’zoth.

Just to point out, while Lord of the Rings is older in fiction, the Movie with Sauron in full metal armor came out after the Lich King’s look had long been established. So no, that wasn’t a copy.

I mean…there were a lot of complaints about the jailer being a wimp. I’m not sure those can be made now… that armor was nice.

Yeah, but at least his old design was unique enough. Stand the new form amongst Maw/Korthia mobs. You couldn’t tell him apart.

Sauron’s look was illustrated long, long before video games were even invented. Lich King and Icecrown motif were absolutely inspired by the Suaron/Mordor motif.

when I said that Blizzard would focus on the JRPG, it was another type of stereotypes like being more references to an anime Isekai, Loddoss War or something more fanservice.

But not in this way, as I said Blizzard does not learn, and does kame-kame-ha’s to bosses as it was in Nya’lotha does not mean that it is including the JRPG or Anime in another case.

I’ll take note of that reference, now the Jailer is Sauronthanos and some any Final Fantasy villain.
