I think it is less out of touch and more just ‘‘ok we are crunch time… we have this done but unused… lets push that to midnight’’ type of deal. It’s 3 expansion trilogy where they will be looking where they can save on dev time and resources and/or get the most return on the investment.
I didn’t/don’t really want Haranir but I also didn’t/don’t really want Ethereals either so yeah.

At least we will have the gleeful glamour item that players will be able to use to role play with until I guess the final bits of the race are finalized?

Frankly, Ethereals shouldn’t be a neutral race anyway. The Void Elves have given them more ties to Alliance in recent years.
But I think the fair counterpart would be Horde getting Naga.
Instead we both get stuff no one really wants.

Yeah it’s almost like Blizzard didn’t wanna do it and that’s why they didn’t do it, notice how Paladin hasn’t been given to any newer races except Earthen? It’s almost like they make the decisions just because and don’t actually care what people want unless it’s a more general class like a Hunter, Mage, Warrior, etc.

For someone that acts like they “know” all about me and how I’m supposedly a troller, you should know I have been an avid supporter of not only Paladins for all but also Druids, Shamans and Demon Hunters for all as well as more visage races for Evokers so no I don’t have some made up issue I just approach things realistically.
