Let’s be real - if they re-open the mage tower, no one’s going to do the encounters. They’re just going to whine endlessly on the forums about the dps checks and soft enrage timers that are in there.

but not the rewards. create new rewards FOR EVERYONE to be able to obtain.

not a LAZY FEW that didn’t SUPPORT Blizzard during a Great expansion

Timewalking ~ Mage tower would be cool. Give everyone a chance at the rewards.

If people need exclusive items to make them feel important that’s really sad. Get some irl accolades and actually be important.

I disagree since the iteration was designed for the Legion iteration of the classes. If they wanted to add timewalking so that players could at least see the content then fine, but the rewards should stay gone since the challenge was meant for Legion classes.

I told you the reasoning. Whether or not that you like it is irrelevant. I’d actually rather Blizzard work on future content rather than work on old expansions because some players feel bad.

I’ve maintained a wow sub almost non-stop since Vanilla. I want the mage tower appearances to stay exclusive to those who got them in Legion. There, Blizzard is listening to their players.

Also, your statement contradicts itself. Blizzard should listen to players, many players agree with me yet you say we should not be listened to.

My opinion continues to remain the same on this topic: do not bring it back. There’s no reason to not have some prestige in this game; the Black Qiraji Battle Tank, various titles like Hand of A’dal, the CM stuff from MoP and WoD, all of these items were locked to their expansion where people who were willing were able to unlock them. As a game that’s 15 years old, it’s okay for players who played before now to have things other players can no longer obtain.

What people should be doing is using that pain of missing out to incentivize themselves to not miss out on future items. That’s what I did; I didn’t get gold CMs done in WoD, and I regretted that. So I got all 12 classes to max in Legion and worked hard to obtain all 36 skins. Call me selfish or elitist or whatever you want, but that accomplishment is one of my favorite in this whole game. And I would hate for that to be diminished because people missed out/weren’t able to get it at the time.

Blizzard should focus on content that’ll provide reward opportunities for everyone, not old content that would reward a smaller percentage. I want a new Mage Tower with new challenges and new skins so that content is something I can also partake in.

An addendum:

If Blizz does the right thing and un-retires WoW’s retired mounts, pets, and appearances, and this causes people to quit: good.

The stake is that it was announced as such before it was even released. If it hadn’t been made to be time limited, and announced it would be its whole lifespan, I would have no problem with it coming back. However, a lot of people made that a focal point of their gaming before it went away at the end of legion. They changed the way they normally played because of it. Going back on what was announced would be a betrayal of trust. We wouldn’t be able to trust any announcement of any kind of content in game again. Better they stick to what they say they will do.

There’s more to it than scaling. Some classes like Havoc Demon Hunter would obliterate it because they don’t even get fury starved like they did in Legion. While others would get destroyed because they don’t have legendaries that offer the sustain required to tank some fights.

Agreed. You can bring it back but not have it offer the rewards. I’d love to play them on other toons.

It cheapens the prestige of the weapons. There are thousands of other appearances to transmog. Let 0.1% of prestigious appearances remain that way. Prestigious.

This is a false equivalency. Transmog isn’t (as a concept) something intended on being a trophy. The Mage Tower was. No trophy has been said to be limited time, and then somehow returned. Bad comparison. If Challenge Modes, elite mogs, or something of that nature randomly popped up after having been retired with developers saying they were wrong, then you’d have an argument. They have not.
