If anything TSM actually makes it easier to not need the Auction House right now. If you have a few alts running mission tables, you can configure TSM to automatically send all cloth to your tailor, all your hides and pelts to your leatherworker, all your herbs to your alchemist and/or scribe, all your enchanting mats to your enchanter, etc.
All of the problems the AH has right now, it would still have if there were no TSM. There’s already a limit to how much you can cancel scan before you start getting throttled
Step1. Spam Refresh
Step2. Wait for a player to put up 1 item for 1 silver
step3. Race other players to click on buy, and buy now.
step4. Rinse and repeat.
Do that for a few hours and I guarantee you will make some gp.
Someone clearly does not know how TSM was affected by region-wide materials, and how it functions now.
I’ve seen players taking advantage of bugged auctions and buying mats way below vendor cost that are being posted. For example, if an item vendors for 40g but that item is bugged and can’t be purchased. Some will post one below 40g and cancel it immediately and the buy what is being placed for sale at that price as well. They then run the script repeatedly and at a rate that most cannot keep up with.
Then there are those that tank price of an item to be close to the cost of vendor mats but still below the price crafting. Some do it accidentally, but some do it to buy cheap and then resell which is a normal AH thing, it’s just being done to the extreme right now.
