That’s not true. 3-6 are in the champion track, >= 7 are on the hero track.
Oh you mean the weekly loot box? No idea. Not trying to waste one of my 24 total chances this season trying to get anything less than myth track. Maybe I’ll experiment on an alt. They should probably raise it to ~5 though.
“Vault” refers to the Great Vault, where most serious upgrades after the first couple weeks come from. Yes, it’s worth spamming 7s for heroic track gear if you can, which I have been doing. You HAVE to do a 10 to get myth track gear, and that is both a pain and a huge jump from 3. This is the first season they’ve made this poor decision and I hope it’s the last.
To be fair, DF 8’s were a little too generous. It makes sense for mythic gear to require a bit more effort. Slowing down gearing is a good thing overall.
I don’t like that the vault is the only place for mythic gear for m+ though. I’d like to see it replaced with something like the delve key system. It can’t be infinitely spammable either. But getting only 24 chances at loot per season is kinda raw.
On the contrary, I have been arguing with people on and off all day because they believe that to do mythic you need friends. And they believe that is the way should be I am saying it’s the opposite. If you don’t feel like playing a tank then you will wait for one.
The issue is the wild mixed messages. Want to slow down loot, make it more progression based? Okay, cool… but then why are delves giving vault gear equal to a +7 mythic? Makes zero sense.
And again, I am NOT complaining about delve gear, I’m complaining that the progression in M+ is garbage this season. A 3 and a 9 should not offer the same vault tier, is ridiculous, everyone knows it’s ridiculous, Blizzard shouldn’t even wait until next season to change that.
DF 18s were easier because the dungeon pool was easier, but even that was a bigger ask than in previous expansions where loot topped at at a 15, which is a +5 today.
There is a tank shortage. However, the reason for that is, everyone wants to play DPS. Additionally, any tank that does play with friends will take for them only… That’s the problem.
My friend group imploded and I’ve just not had the desire to pug anything. I play 4 different tanks and want nothing to do with the pug scene. I’m sure I’m not alone in this feeling.
The whole fantasy of being a tank is being an impenetrable wall. To be the anchor for the line that holds the enemy back.
Tanks are not that right now. I really hate assigning incompetence to every decision blizzard makes, but I’m just not feeling their direction right now.
I don’t like keys being determined by dps survivability.
I don’t like dying (as a tank) when I make no mistakes, bleeding out over 10-30 seconds.
I don’t like being globaled (BDK problems) in otherwise trivial content by synced melees.
I don’t like having an “active” mitigation style where all my “active” options end up on CD.
It’s just not giving me the satisfaction. Tanks and healers are not dps. They don’t enjoy the same things. Spinning plates and getting prior authorizations are dps things. You don’t challenge tanks and healers the same way you challenge dps.
When they figure that out (or just acknowledge it in general, I’m sure they’re aware), the drought will be over.
No way you read through this whole convulted post, and read that; thought it would be funny, and then took the time out of your day to post that, crazy world we live in.
