When I was advocating to balance factions during P2, faction change was brought up.
Of course at that time Horde laughed at me and said the common phrase âgo to retailâ ârerollâ âquit.â
Itâs not Vanilla but itâs a viable solution without losing character progress.
Iâm just not sure how Shaman to Paladin would work.

If post had to be unique we could cut horde responses to allies complaints down to 3
The idea that faction changes would solve this sort of problem always bothers me. Why do you assume that? My logic node tells me this - you institute it and lets say a heap of people swap over to Alliance. The faction imbalance then swings the other ways and the people that swapped over to Alliance now find themselves again in long queues.
So what do you do then - create an Alliance-to-Horde Only faction transfer again?

This is a valid question, though Iâm more inclined to believe it would create a better balance this very much could happen indeed yes.
I would hope that if Blizzard does introduce faction changes that itâs done on a request and approval basis, for example you apply to change factions and then allow Blizzard to control the number of people changing factions.
We know that putting this sorta thing in the hands of the community isnât going to work, have a look at the toxicity of this thread for example. Also, noone is going to reroll.
So this is the only method that has some form of promise I believe and if it does come to a call for action then hopefully its done in a controlled manner.
This is more serious for the Oceanic communities because we sure as hell donât want to be merged into US West battlegroups where weâll be faced with 200+ ping.
