The game has not been in a healthy place, that is true, however the content creators and streamers have not been helping.
They are consistently negative now, even when good things do happen like a spicy lore drop or a (I’m sorry to say) very simple to interpret pre-rendered cutscene. There is no need for all of their constant outrage. It is time the WoW community moved past…

Honestly preach was fine.
He’s not wrong in most of his criticism of WoW.
He isn’t wrong, but his views on WoW are now tainted by a constant negativity. It is clear that his PASSION for the game is gone. Creators without passion are no help and NEED to go.
Very few new players coming to wow. Why make content for a game that hasn’t been good for years. The fact that so many stuck with it when it makes no money was impressive.
What you thought we heard- a reasonable explanation of why these people are wrong and “new blood” will do better.
What we actually heard- “I disagree with them for a given reason (be it white knighting for Blizzard or throwing my head into the sand) and am attributing my disagreement with their stances to something being wrong with them instead of the game.”
Instead, can we just get a game without “content creators” posting their stream clips, wow news sections, and lukewarm safe takes? The game’s decline mirrors the rise of “content creators” almost perfectly
Yeah darn those streamers! They should just deal with the constant player punishment by blizz and be happy with a game that’s a shell of its potential!
You won’t have to worry about Pyromancer and Preach very long. They’re pretty much done and their comments relating to WoW will pretty much stop within a month.
Asmongold. Unfortunately, he knows the game is crap, but will play it forever despite that. So, you’ll have to put up with him forever probably.
If you want to watch some shills, Taliesen is really good at it.
While I like Hazelnutty, I’d recommend her because she’s pretty level headed and does not go on rants. I think her criticisms are done in a very calm way, but she’s more about info that commentary. Plus she has a cute cat.
I’m sure there are plenty of others. But, to have more positive ones, Blizzard will have to actually start doing positive things. It’s really in their court.

I’m sorry, but the truth is more important than your feelies, they were not “farming outrage” they were telling the honest truth.
“Let’s just bury our heads in the sand and ignore all the bad things and pray and hope good things come!” doesn’t work, we’ve been doing that for over a decade and THINGS ONLY GET WORSE.
Let’s tackle the problems head on instead of pretending bad things don’t exist, point them out, make Blizzard accountable, silence and blind support doesn’t fix anything.

strange that you haven’t recognized this possibility despite tons of people leaving, low subs, a move to massive monetization by selling gold in the cash shop, absolute explosion of bloated systems to increase grind on the same or less amount of content, and tying almost every grind directly into primary power progression so it isn’t really optional

Or maybe, like most content creators, they’re so overwhelmed with the low quality of the game they can only feel negative towards it.
The game needs to change massively, man. This isn’t a few content creators getting pissy that they aren’t getting their way, this is a large amount of people dissatisfied with the direction of the game.

The kind of people who are going to go on YouTube and talk about a game are EXACTLY the kind of people who are going to get pissy it isn’t going their way.
It’s not gonna help. Wow is dying a slow painful death and new streamers won’t bring in new players, said new players will realize why others quit and quit too.
