Item level scaling taking over for level scaling is basically all that would need to go into it.
Could even be a behind the scenes “nerf” to secondaries just like the overt one we already have as you level.

LOL agreed, that is already happening.
Already come across plenty of people who struggle to play classes they’ve played for years. I’d rather not see people jump-started to 80 that don’t even understand a fraction of what their class does.
Leveling isn’t difficult and it doesn’t take long.
Instead they just spam dungeons for a day, hit 80, and only understand a fraction of what their class does.
I just don’t understand wanting free 80 boosts.
Some players want character boosts because they already have a main character and usually a bunch of alt-characters. They like creating new characters but hate having to level grind them to max level so they can play end-game content.
So if people are wanting character boosts, wouldn’t it be better to get them for free instead of $60.00 per boost?
Better for who? Not Blizzard that’s for sure. Better for players? That’s debatable. I think it would be a catch 22. It would be nice to not have to level characters to 80 for the 100th time. But on the flip side… bots… bots would be even worse than they are now.
Laziness.
Source: Me. (I bought 4 boosts because they were on sale and I didn’t wanna spend that much time in Classic Timewalking.)
If they make leveling any faster, might as well just start you at max and delete the entire game outside of the current xpac.
Oh sweet irony.
No?
If leveling feels like a grind, you’re making yourself do it, not doing it because you want to.
I have one of each class at 80 already. Never felt like a grind, just working my way through different content bits and leveling how I felt like leveling.
At a certain point, people are gonna need to accept that leveling now is absolutely already fast enough, and if it was made any faster there would be no leveling experience at all.
I’d rather they give us the ability to move servers for free, with a cooldown. And all customization including name changes.
At best – and I mean the very best – you should get a boost discount based on 1) how many max-level characters you’ve leveled the old fashioned way and 2) how many boosts you’ve purchased in the past.
Is it kinda like a coffee card where your 5th boost is free?
I would just discount it…to 15.00 per character…
60.00 is alot of money especially since we are already paying a subscription…
I’ve been playing for 14 years now; does that qualify me as a veteran player? And leveling (primarily by questing) is the heart and soul of the game for me. And the go-go-go types make me wonder if we’re even playing the same game.
