Do you trust for even a second that they’re going to get “enhanced and kicked up to the next level” raid mechanics right, or that they will be good enough to justify 40 specs worth of gameplay being broken over Microsoft’s knee?
I expect bad players to be complaining things are too hard as usual regardless of how easy the game becomes.
And m+ is infinite.
It’s painful because you seem to have a very surface level of knowledge. I’m gonna guess you do normal raids and delves with the level of complexity you seem to understand. Anything beyond that level of knowledge completely flies over your head because you have to have experienced it to actually understand it, and it’s clear you dont understand it at all.

Well no, because it’s also rude to be bad at World of Warcraft as deemed by this community, which is why every season you see the vast majority of people funneled into the “easier” specs. Even if those people could probably play some of those “harder” specs, they don’t want to risk being bad at World of Warcraft, because that would be rude.
These are the standards the community has set for the game, you have no one to blame but yourselves.
Even with the simplified classes, there’s still going to be a performance gulf.
Yes, because much of the performance gulf is people just having low uptime. No amount of class simplification can fix that.
Which is why I like the approach of designing classes around everyone, but designing challenging content, like raids or keys, around people looking for that challenge. The challenge should not be executing your rotation, it should come from the content itself.
People not looking for that challenge who just want to play this game outside of that can still do that just fine.
Your class is how you engage with content though. If your class is boring then the game is boring.
Not necessarily, no. There’s lots of games out there where the challenge isn’t in your class or rotation, it’s in the content itself. FFXIV Ultimates for example.
I have 1 weakaura that tells me if ricochet actually procced correctly or if I need to use multishot again and that’s it.
Also the absolute irony of this statement in a game where rotation helper and one button are existing features no addon required but no we somehow need things EVEN SIMPLER for people who can’t react to a button lighting up appropriately.
WOW should not be trying to emulate any aspect of FF combat in my opinion

They already have been when it comes to boss fight design and everyone seems to like it
I don’t think everyone does. FF 14 combat is one of the weakest parts of that game
People seem to like the boss fights in Manaforge Omega that are FFXIV-esque
