Nail in the coffin for my interest in WoW.

Log that broke the camel’s back

Love it. It’s amazing.

Dragonriding is awesome.

Swap to an alt, hit 70: play the game rather than having to go farm and grind a bunch of random crap that’s tied to player power.

If you mentioned it took you an hour to quit SL, I would’ve believed you. 10 days? Bad troll attempt. 0/10.

Wasted 25 minutes last night trying to get a quest to activate, got frustrated and logged off.

Easily the best first week of an expansion since MoP. Highly enjoying it.

Overall, am feeling good. I spent a few days visiting a friend I hadn’t seen a long time in a place I haven’t visited in an equally long time. Just shaved and showered so feeling clean. Work hasn’t been too busy, and when it does get busy we have enough workers to keep things moving. Got a bunch of Wrath Classic questing done on my druid yesterday, worked more on my hunter this morning and probably later today. Got that slightly queasy sensation in my stomach telling me that I haven’t eaten enough; think I’ll go out for a late lunch and maybe pick up some groceries as well.

I’m enjoying it so far. Relieved to see a lot of positivity about it. I’m hoping for a couple improvements.

  • Opening up normal flying to give those with motion sickness problems another option. Previous reasons for not having flying at launch were negated by dragon riding.

  • Let Evokers fly. If NPC Drakthyr can player characters should too. There’s no game breaking reason why they can’t.

Favourite xpac so far since Legion.

Loving dragonriding.

The zones are amazing. They have a similar look and feel to some of my favourite zones like Nagrand, Borean Tundra/Coldara and Grizzly Hills.

Cool mini games with rock climbing and the dragon races.

Always had a soft spot for dragons in WoW. Loved them since I met them. So yes, I’m a bit biased.

Still don’t get what’s going on with the community feast, but I stick around and follow like a good little kitten.

Crafting is slowly starting to sink in. We just need bigger reagent bags! Nice to see gathering profs matter again. We got so many free mats in SL it felt like they were next to useless.

It’s early days, but I’m enjoying it 100x more than SL at the same time frame. I was busy farming AP to get my covenants built up and trashy covenant gear upgraded.

In DF I’m just queueing some dungeons/BG’s while I go find some zone with stuff to do and clean it out while I wait… which is kinda hard because those BG queues are popping in 2-3 mins!

One request.

Add dragonriding to the old zones, but keep the standard flying still in the game.

I’m having the best time. It’s hard to stop playing even though I’ve had a busy season at work. I’m someone that likes to stay logged in and just listen to the music and probably logged in at least 12 hours a day since Thursday just jamming out in my apartment.

Taking my time though leveling and still not 70

There’s a gentlemen rock elemental.
With a TOP HAT.

Why would I need anything else.

New expansions are almost always fun. Anyone who loves WoW who doesn’t have some fun with new zones, new continents, new abilities, new classes, new races doesn’t really love the game.

I will say though that while I’m cautiously optimistic, it seems like they have played it super safe this expansion. No real surprises. It’s your standard new zones and levels. I think SL was a lot more fun at launch. In SL it seemed like every time I turned a rock over there was some new system to uncover.

Anyway, the real test will be how I feel about this in a year.

Dragonflight was a decent start for me - nothing amazing. I do like the fast leveling and dragon-flying was definitely a nice addition. I’d be more enthusiastic about it though if I didn’t get the feeling it’ll be ditched later, especially since we can’t use it outside of the zone.

Absolutely loving it so far. Done all side quests I’ve come across and lvl 70, not even done yet with Azure Span lol. But total lag fest in Azure Span

4/10

Exploit early, exploit often. I got people on my server that got max renown with some of the factions in 1 day from a ā€œlag exploitā€ got people already max rep with black dragons, now everyone else has to suffer for their actions(they get to max profit off the rep tokens too). At this point, im going to raid log since ive already gotten all the toys from engineering, zzzzz.

Healing this is a nightmare.

They could get banned or account reversal. Blizzard can reverse hours, even days on an account.

I started on the 2nd I think… can’t talk about dungeon stuff and a lot else but what I did get to… it feels much better than shadowlands for me. But the more I dig into professions, gold making part of crafting, and open world stuff, the more I’m noticing that they haven’t really learned from past mistakes.

Sure there are a lot more rpg bells and whistles which I’m not against. But I’m kinda disappointed that they didn’t do more with the open world.

As it stands now, I may not see longevity for myself in this expansion.

Liked the story, like Dragonriding but want normal flying to coexist with it (thankfully, coming in next patch iirc), love Valdrakken and most of the areas, like the side quests.

Not fond of the new profession stuff, not fond of renown grind just to unlock more of the main campaign, not fond of how slow it is to renown grind unless you spend all day just spamming world quests for the specific faction you want (or killing djaradin ad nauseum for Wrathion’s stupid keys). Don’t like how bad level scale balancing is for some classes starting at 65~ onward. Don’t like being nearly completely incapable of doing any quests or world quests on my own without stopping after every mob just to heal back up (if I don’t die from constant chain aggro trying to do safe single pulls).

Honestly kind of mostly checked out of DF at this point until some of these issues either get better or are fixed, as needed. Went back to leveling alts in Timewalking and farming mogs from old expansions, and doing old expansion zones. Much more fun for me than the slog DF is right now, and that’s… really a shame. I want to play DF content, but my god Blizzard doesn’t seem to want to let me.
