It's odd that I keep seeing news of Blizzard wanting to bring WoW to consoles

Console players would be at a massive disadvantage, due to addons. Imagine having to play this game with zero addons, it wouldn’t be worth it at least to me. Way too much QOL.

I don’t understand why people are getting so upset over this.

If it comes to console, great. They’re opening up their playerbase.

If it doesn’t come to console, who cares. The playerbase stays the same.

It’s not that big of a deal. It’s not like people will be forced to play on console if it gets ported over. There are plenty of people who, if given the chance, would only play on console. There are plenty of people who don’t play wow simply because they don’t have a PC and would play if it was on console.

There are plenty of people would would remain on PC if it was ported over. It’s not like giving it to console takes it away from PC, you don’t lose anything.

Jesus, the amount of dumb stuff people get upset over when they don’t have any real problems is mind blowing.

You can easily play wow on a controller now… I have at least 3 friends who raid in Heroic and Mythic who do so

That’s not realistic for 99.9% of players to have 48/96 button combinations.

Especially not console players.

Ff14 cut down button bloat and made healing easier due to consoles. Sure, thosr combinations could exist but the vast majority wouldn’t do it nor want it.

No but on a controller you can get that many combinations, so having 40+ buttons on your action bars does not mean a controller player is any less limited to what they can press.

It’s the same for keyboard, 40 buttons, at most people use like 8 that are close to their WASD buttons and then add in CTRL, Shift and ALT (and a combination of all three) to modify those 8 or so main buttons they press.

Plus you would have some obscure combination like both right shoulder buttons and X to do something like hearth or open chat or something that is not needed in combat.

I think it would be depend if it was cross play or not, or had the option to disable that if so.

This is the wow forums most of us here are experts on brand loyalty lmao
