It's not a *big* deal but

Sorry if our complaints don’t meet your standards. Feel free to use any of those methods of travel to bugger out of this thread. :love_you_gesture:

Shows the lack of respect for the players time and then they wonder why ppl are considering FF14.

Capitalism ruined the Shadowlands haha.

Death is the ultimate transaction!

No one escapes the Mall!

No, because it should have never been designed so poorly to start with.

Ooh, look at Mr. Pharoah here, buried with his Earthly treasures, thinks he’s an entrepreneur.

This felt like a slap in the face to me too. Every anima reward I’ve earned so far - EVERY one - hasn’t been even close to worth the effort.

Even the mission table? I mean your guys heal slightly faster. lol

They say you can’t take it with you when you go, well, I believe it. (but I guess I can!)

not totally gonna help ya, but if youre going to level those characters to max, instead of taking engineering, the calling where you have an apprentice or whatever, if a certain one is up, when you go into and leave combat and do it again 5 minutes later, they drop something to loot (Drippy for Venthyr i believe is his name). you can get pet stuff, garbage, a ghost cat pet named Lucy or portal stones. the stones teleport you to one of the SL zones. they are named, and they drop pretty often. I got about a dozen of them for each zone, including Oribos. its boring yeah, but you just sit there and kill something every 5 minutes and loot. super easy.

its an option and dont have to sink a ton of mats into Engi.

herers a vid and explains it better

I set mine to Oribos but I usually just hang out in Ardenweald. I don’t get the rested buff when I do that but that’s life I guess.

The difference is that Dalaran was the place to be. It was fun, albeit very prone to lag spikes. It was also connected to the playable zones, unlike Bore-ibos.

Reason was to limit your convenience in game.

it’s almost like they specifically engineered it to be an unpleasant city.

the background sound is terrible .

on the bright side, it won’t be hard to come up with a better city next time

I see you’re something of a Blizzard developer yourself. I also subscribe to the big negative to get away with a smaller negative later, theory.

The title is a work in progress.

When you set the bar so low, there’s no where else to go but up!

I’m merely pointing out you are being hyperbolic with how “bad” travel is. If you don’t have a 10 min CD on your hearthstone it shows you must not really care about long travel times and/or lack of ability to teleport places because you aren’t even making use of the options in game to speed up your travel.

Another poster also pointed out the orgrimmar/SW cloak that takes you to the portal room that goes directly to Oribos.

I don’t know how much more convenience you want. I see one of the major issues with modern WoW is that it is too convenient and as a result to prolong content they have to put in arbitrary time gating like renown, weekly quest objectives etc

Because you can set your hearth to your covenant hall for the easy transport back as the game expects you to be there more than Oribos in the first place. Oribos is an airport. Your covenant area is the main stay.

The flights from one zone to another are long and there isn’t even any terrain to look at. So I browse the news or some website.

All the “in between” area shouldn’t be in there, never should have. Talk about padding played time.
