Personally, I prefer to regard Vulpera at a distance. It’s not so much that I don’t trust them as much as it is that wish treat others as I wish to be treated; that is to say, I want people to stop messing up my fur with their greasy fingers.

Our fingers are more sandy than greasy. But that varies from Vulpera to Vulpera. Mine are currently clean because I wear gloves! But I know the feeling, getting fur all messed up.
Not always fun, but sacrifice I take for boops and hugs!

Perfectly harmless! Besides, you have bigger problems to worry about than something smaller than you trying to boop you. Like… something BIGGER than me trying to boop you. It may be harmless when I do it but…
Both of us can wash the smell away, but only one of us will be fluffier after and it’s not a Goblin!
