The unclaimed BMAH crates basicly ingame gold loot boxes where you might get an ultra rare, or you might get something you can’t even use.

IMO all FOMO should be done away with. Bring back Undying and the Plagued Proto-Drakes. Allow buying the old Elite sets when achieving sufficient rating. Put the Bruto back on the vendor. Put the weapons back in the Mage Tower. Reactivate the legendary quests in MoP and WoD. If a game asset takes space on our hard drive, it should be available.

Which part of “not everyone played WoW when it was available” doesn’t sink in here. It’s a freaking vendor mount, removing it was stupid, it should be put back on the vendor.
People don’t care they need to keep their ego intact by hoarding pixels and acting like other people having it would be the end of the world.

I posit that what you are experiencing right now is neither real, nor is it life, and it certainly doesn’t work.
Trolls will be trolls. It’s a shame though because new players can be turned off by both the attitude of “veterans” as well as Blizzard’s marketing tactics.

I await for you to provide evidence of Blizz announcing, at any point prior to November 2019, the removal of Bruto from the vendor.

Never cared about the mount, but never understood why it removed from a vendor. Price was high enough to turn off a lot of people like myself(I think max I ever spent on a mount like 150k?)
Removing things for the sake of removing things annoys me, they should leave stuff alone so newer players have a chance to make goals and save up for things.

You make a great point. I think most people don’t even have any of the 333k gold frogs.
There’s an achievement for killing all the rares. I started playing in Legion, so guess who is the one rare I’m missing??
That achievement is haunting me ever since I tried to get it. I didn’t know at the time that there was a cloak and a rare hiding behind that requirement.
So, yeah, I care every time I open my achievement log.

Well, you have 14,000 points worth of other stuff to work on, and even after wrapping up that you’ll find that there are multiple achievements that are extremely timesinky or outright unobtainable.

Oh I know, it’s just a pain when I’m mindlessly browsing through my achievements to find those I’m close to getting.
Not such a big deal but it annoys me every time lol.

Nov’19.
Patch 9.0.1 October 13, 2020 - almost a full year. Given the 2 year xpac cycle, that means you knew for almost half of the xpac’s lifetime.
So I guess it isn’t much different than announcing a season is ending about a month ahead of when it closes.
I am straight up loving the double standard on the FOMO rewards as it relates to the ECO but not the other rewards in the game (CM, MT, PvP).
I almost hope they add more ECO driven FOMO rewards, if only so more players can finally realize just how dumb all of these FOMO rewards truly are.

Dude, you’re so hell bent on being right and spiteful that you’re not getting the second half of this complaint. Blizzard wasn’t truly removing Longboi, they moved it to the BMAH. Fine. However, what’s not fine is he’s currently not working. He’s not showing up as a bid and he’s not dropping out of the unclaimed container. Something is broke, bugged, what have you.

You are assuming it is bugged. Rare != bugged.
I’m still farming Sha of Anger and Galleon mounts and it has been several years. Turns out a < 1% chance at things takes thousands and thousands of tries to occur.
